Micro Forest is an area accessible from Psyche.

Features

Micro Forest transports the player in front of a television connected to a videogame console, where they observe a retro style game featuring Minnatsuki in a verdant pair of islands. Grassy fields and dense vegetation cover the ground, while the dark waters surrounding the islands show a distorted reflection of the sky above.

As the title screen disappears, Minnatsuki appears next to a campsite, where a person wearing a yellow shirt sits in front of a bonfire. Interacting with the bonfire allows Minnatsuki to roast and eat a marshmallow. Southwards, a wooden cabin can be found, which contains nothing but a pair of tables, chairs and a colorful flag. Three docks are located just next to this building, including one with a boat owned by Fred, who ferries Minnatsuki to the southern island on interaction.

After a short boat trip, Minnatsuki will reach a small, locked shack. Descending from here starts the Haunted Console event.

Haunted Console

During the Haunted Console event, a small shadow will appear and lure Minnatsuki across a forest, eventually guiding them to an open cabin. Interacting with the shadow at the front of the cabin will cause it to dissolve into the ground. Suddenly, the Night Terror -- an ominous monochromatic figure with two large, white eyes -- will slowly emerge from the right side of the player's room, moving towards the television.

Entering the cabin previously guarded by the shadow reveals a single key, which can be used on the locked shack all the way back at the start of the section. The inside of the locked building reveals an egg. However, once it's obtained, the Night Terror will jump closer to the screen with an intense creepy smile on their face. At this point the television screen will be interrupted with intermittent static that intensifies over time. At the end of the event, the screen will fill with static and Minnatsuki will be returned from the spirit world.
