Blue Yellow Maze is an area accessible from the Scribbled Worksite.

Map of the Blue Yellow Maze.

Features

As its name implies, the Blue Yellow Maze is a medium-sized cluttered maze area made out of blue and yellow diamond tiles.

Somewhere on the area is an invisible person wearing a yellow raincoat. Equipping the Glasses or using the Crossing effect will reveal it to be a blue-haired person. Upon interaction, they teleport alongside Urotsuki to one of five buildings found through the area.

After being teleported to a building, interacting with the raincoat person again will place Urotsuki in one of four random spots within the maze. Since the teleporting spot is random, it is recommended to use the Bat to place a spot before interacting with the raincoat person. Equipping the Raincoat combo effect guaranties that, after being teleported to a building, interacting with the raincoat person again sends you back to where they normally roam.

Out of the four possible teleport locations, one contains a blue eyeball creature that takes Urotsuki to a passage with some towers and a green door at the end. Interacting with the door sends Urotsuki to the Shunned Street with no means of returning.

Another one of the possible teleport locations is an isolated area of the maze, which contains an alien head. Chainsawing the head has a 1/256 chance of sending Urotsuki to the subarea of Scribbled Worksite as a one-way.

If you have chainsawed the Katana Man in Scribbled Worksite, multiple versions of himself will appear on the map, making the navigation of the area more difficult. Getting caught traps Urotsuki in an isolated area of Nowhere Woods.

Trivia

  • The raincoat NPC is a reference to Mafurako from Yume Nikki, teleporting the player to a series of isolated locations randomly, wearing clothing resembling one of Urotsuki effects, and showing her true appearance when the Crossing effect is active.
