This section of the Style Guide concerns the formatting of links on the wiki, both internal and external.
Internal Links
Frequency
When using internal links to other wiki pages in articles, only the first mention of the topic should be a link. Do not link to the same page multiple times within the same article.
Some exceptions to this rule apply:
- Infoboxes should have links even if the link already exists in the article.
- Locations listed in the "Directions" section of location pages should have links, except the first and last locations.
- Image captions in galleries may repeat links, at the discretion of the editor.
Linking to Effects
When linking the names of effects, make the effect name a link, but not the word "effect" itself. For example, "Urotsuki can use the Chainsaw effect."
External Links
If possible, when linking to Wikipedia or other external wikis, use interwiki links. If an interwiki link is available, do not use a URL. Currently, the only interwiki link available is [[wikipedia:Example]]
.
If you wish to mimic the look of internal links when using external links, use
.
