The YNOproject Discord server is an official server for the website where users can chat with each other and give feedback to the site developers. A link to the server is found in the website footer next to the tumblr, Twitter/X, and GitHub links.

The Discord server has channels for announcements and events, general discussion, development, Yume Wiki contribution, voice chat, and even a channel for each game hosted on the website. When entering the server, a 5 minute wait period begins, giving time to read the server rules. Information on which channels to use is better explained in the #channel-guide found near the top of the server's channel list.

Roles

5 minutes after joining, the user is given the @Dream Explorer role and can see the full server.

Users can select three roles in the #effect-dropoff channel, being @Tour Participant, @Wanderers of the Unconscious, and @Event Participant. All three are used for announcement pings.

For moderation issues, users can ping the @Mod Team. This also applies to asking for YNO moderation in the #feedback-and-dev channel, although most cases can be handled on-site.

Tours

Tours are scheduled events for exploring a game on YNOproject. Unlike the on-site Events system, only users with the @Tour Guide role may announce an official tour. Tours are announced in the #tours channel and ping users with @Tour Participant. A Discord event is usually created as well. In addition to the start time, tour guides usually outline the theme for the tour, where it might lead, and the effects players should have before the tour starts.

When tours take place, users can chat with other participants on-site, or using the event voice channel and #vc-talk.

Tours are a common way to announce a new game for the website. The tour starts innocently and continues for a few minutes until the new game's URL is announced. The tour continues into the new game, now as a showcase.

Badge Submission

Badges can be created and submitted in the Discord. Badges are submitted, with or without art, in the #badge-proposals channel. The pins of the channel have a template message for submitting badge details. Alternatively, badges can be submitted using a Google form that is also pinned to the channel. Using the Discord to suggest or submit badges may be preferable to using the form as the user can get more feedback from others on the proposal.

The #archeology-center channel is used for getting feedback on badge art or organising collabs with other artists.
