Dropfish is an NPC found in the Docks A.
Overview
Dropfish inhabits the waters of the Docks, making its body only partially visible. It has a droplet-shaped head and a smaller part of its body sticks out above the water, perhaps an arm or tailfin. The lower part of its body is dark purple while the rest of its body flashes between cyan, blue, and purple. It has strabismic, pink eyes as well as a drooling mouth.
Dropfish can only be attracted by Cat effect and stopped when using Stoplight effect. Like other water creatures, it can't be reached, and therefore it can not be killed with the Knife effect.
Trivia
- The name "drop fish" is the translation of the Spanish pez gota, a name of the common blobfish. This name was likely chosen due to the visual similarity.
- Dropfish's appearance is similar to the Slime monster from the Dragon Quest series, including its shape, large eyes, and wide smile. It is one of many likely references to various Famicom/NES games found throughout the game.
