Orange Badlands is an area accessible from a portal of two pudding candles in the Pudding World.
Features
This area has a black background and is filled with orange tiles that resemble lumps with eyes, cuboid objects and pillars reminiscent of the ones that led to Hell from the Forest World in the original Yume Nikki. It is quite difficult to navigate due to the fact that some of the floor tiles are similar to the wall tiles. It's also very maze-like with lots of dead ends.
The world is filled with NPCs nicknamed Orange Eyes, they have a stickman-esque body with an eyeball for a head with orange pupils and a dark sclera. Some of them appear to be kneeling while others are just standing. If you equip the Chainsaw effect they will all run away from you. The kneeling ones react differently to multiple effects:
- Chainsaw - They'll back off from you just like their standing counterpart and their animation will be faster.
- Glasses - You will be able to see another eyeball behind them, facing the opposite direction, and having darker colors.
- Wolf - Their pupil will turn into a pink heart.
- Eyeball Bomb - Their pupil will become rounder and will also get a dark orange outline.
After exploring the area enough, you will find a door that looks like a purple face with dark eyes that has an orange outline. Entering it will lead to a small closed off hand drawn area, Urotsuki's path here is surrounded by hills, some having eyes, with the only option being either to leave or to enter the mouth of the large creature in front of Urotsuki, which leads to Donut Hole World.
By going south from the Pudding World entrance, which will require equipping the Chainsaw effect to move the kneeling Orange Eye, then heading east and looping back north, one can find a tall pole with a clock at the top. Interacting with it takes Urotsuki to Sunrise Road.
