Usugurai Residence is one of the main areas accessible from The Nexus.

Features

Usugurai Residence is a dark area with patterns and patches of grass covering much of the map. Equipping the Lantern effect makes the area brighter and much easier to see. The music in the world will also get quieter if you don't have the effect equipped. Equipping the Grave effect instead will slightly light up the patterns and patches of grass on the ground.

Sets of dark houses can be found around the world, being able to be entered as well. The Mukiryoku appear near them, roaming around the place. One of them is smoking a cigarette; interacting with them will send you to Cigarette World. Nearby the larger cluster of houses is a telephone booth, which leads to Sorrow and Comfort Monuments.

After entering the house close to the smoking Mukiryoku, a young version of Waiyamichi can be seen if Variable 44 is bigger than 128. If the player interacts with the TV in the house with the Grave effect, the TV will become mostly dark and Waiyamichi will vanish.

Going right from The Nexus entrance, a pair of ring statues can be found, which lead to Wishing Stones after entering in-between them. A flower pot can be spotted near the statue pair, which leads to Weary Potted Plant World.

Going left from The Nexus entrance, a large pyramid can be found, which serves as a connection to the Darkwoven Void. Heading southwest from the pyramid, you can find a series of stone blocks and stairs which take you to the residence's outskirts, a small area featuring some pine trees, a bench, and a building blocked by some barricades. Urufubatto can be seen on top of the building.

• The teleporter to The Nexus resembles an ancient Egyptian ankh.
• The map of the house interiors features a verse from a poem “Wish” written by Yevgeny Zamyatin: “Я упаду на костер, / В пламя объятий твоих. / Я так хочу, чтобы стер - / Как узор, мне всю жизнь этот миг.”
