Map of the Blood Maze

Features

The Blood Maze is a small, desolate black void with paths made of blood, along with several strange, vaguely bone-like shapes embedded in the ground. Despite the name, this location does not have walls; Sabitsuki is not limited to the bloody "paths" and can freely explore the void, although there is very little to be found.

Coming from the White Room, the player arrives out of a stairway in the middle of a large blood puddle. Northwest of the entrance there's a one-way exit to the Insides through a large open mouth.

The only other thing of note in this area is the Shinsoku Kaibutsu, who is typically passive. However, if struck by the Iron Pipe, or if another Kaibutsu or Oreko have been struck in the same flow session, they will become aggressive and move at very high speeds. They cannot be evaded by any means, as their speed will increase extremely rapidly, until they move almost sixteen times as fast as Sabitsuki's normal movement speed. As such, entering the Blood Maze in the first place is inadvisable if this Kaibutsu has been angered.

Getting caught by this Kaibutsu will teleport the player to an isolated section of the Orange Laboratory and will also raise the Erosion Counter by ten points. Note that this Kaibutsu is replaced with an ordinary Fetus should the area be visited as Rust.

Trivia

  • The Blood Maze's Japanese name, 血液広間, actually roughly translates to "Blood Hall." However, the official soundtrack uploaded by lolrust suggests that Blood Maze is, in fact, the intended English name.
