Yume 2kki:Blue House Road: Difference between revisions

(added details following v0.120, fixed connection type)
Line 34: Line 34:
From this building, driving south and to the right down the road will allow Urotsuki to run over several polic officers and smash through their cars to access a previously blocked off section. After heading down this road, moving either left or right will suddenly turn the world dark and dreary, with an eerie background track fading in as the upbeat theme of the area vanishes entirely. Cones litter the sides of road, making it more difficult to navigate by car. This version of the road's only inhabitant is a NPC with red eyes who looks to be collapsed, with his tilted head shaking violently up and down. When interacted with, Urotsuki will stare at him for a few seconds before carrying on. He cannot by killed with the [[Yume 2kki:Effects#Chainsaw|Chainsaw]] effect, but can be run over by car. If you head back the way you came, the area will return to normal.

Blue House Road is an area accessible from the blue building with the gaping mouth in Crazed Faces Maze.

Map Of the Blue House Road

Features

This area has a scrolling backdrop of a giant, blurred and blue alien-like figure with a lanky body and large appendages accompanied by four more of the same peculiar being, albeit smaller in size and flipped both horizontally and vertically. The first thing you see upon entering this area is the titular blue house you came from along with other similar homes surrounding it. The world's tiles are, as its name implies, resemblant of road, although using cooler colors. Walking around the world, you are able to see blue streetlamps and faces with spinning eyes around the pathway as well. The houses appear in clusters, similar to small neighborhoods, with the occasional parking lot beside them filled up with cars. There are various stylized blue-patterned vending machines located throughout the area to match its theme.

Moving to the northernmost part of the area, there is a ladder going upwards which takes you to a road made of blue platforms, with the main area down below. Heading further north up this path and taking the left road at the final intersection, you will find the entrance to the Blue Restaurant.

The NPCs in this world are differently colored cars moving at extremely fast speeds, playing a honking sound effect and stopping in their path if they manage to hit you, and people that are various shades of blue. Going west from the entrance, you can find an unfinished pathway blocked by two cars, one yellow and one blue, seemingly crashed into each other. Exploring the world even more, you can find four garage doors next to one another. You can also find a blonde girl with green skin wearing a pink dress and a yellow bow in her hair sitting on top of a dark blue structure.

At the top of one of the parking lots found directly south of the entrance, there is a white car that stands out from the others in the lot. Speaking to the salesman beside it will allow you to purchase the car permanently for 1000. Riding around in the car, Urotsuki will find herself moving at four times her walking speed. She is unable to enter buildings, climb ladders, or use effects, however, until she parks the car in one of the many marked parking spots. Driving into the NPCs and cars will make Urotsuki run them over and destroy them entirely, respectively.

Making your way south through the area, you may come across a building with four garage doors with an entrance in the middle of them. When entered, this building is a car paint shop that offers 7 options in order from right to left: white (100夢), yellow (500夢), blue (500夢), green (500夢), red (500夢), black (1000夢), and Urotsuki's shirt pattern (500夢). There is also a salesman that follows you around as you pick your option, and two blue vending machines off to the right.

He cannot by killed with the Chainsaw effect, but can be run over by car. If you head back the way you came, the area will return to normal.

Trivia

The message as seen in the RPG Maker Editor.
  • Opening this map in RPG Maker, a hidden message could be found at one point prior to its removal in version 0.120. It was formed by the tiles of faces with rotating eyes that reads "Hi!" accompanied by a smiling cat face.
  • Before version 0.114g Patch 4, this world had different music, namely a slightly slower version of sound4a.ogg.
