The Ancient Hydrangea City is an area accessible by interacting with the flower-headed creature in Dream Mexico's leftmost section.

Features

The area starts off in a small room scattered with monoliths bearing floral emblems, with a doorway in the northeastern portion. Inside, there are haniwa statues blocking the other door, which can be moved by using the Haniwa effect. Entering the door afterwards, you can find yourself in a large room inhabited by haniwa, with one of them having a cake on the head, as well as some floating Magatama beads. Equipping the Cake and Haniwa effects will cause the one with cake on their head to follow Urotsuki. Southeast of this room are two staircases, heading downstairs is a small basement with a skull on the ground. Using the Glasses will reveal the corpse's spirit. Going upstairs instead leads to a corridor, before a room where the western part leads to a small bedroom, and the south leading to a room where there is another staircase in the northwest. From there, you will encounter a graveyard, then a room with two staircases going downwards. Taking the eastern staircase leads to a dead end where a ghostly inhabitant can be revealed with the Glasses equipped, while the western staircase leads to a long corridor ending in a woman next to two torches. Chainsawing her will take you to the Crimson Dungeon.

Crimson Dungeon

In this area, there are flower-like figures that teleport you to other sections upon interaction. Interacting with the figure immediately right of the entrance will take you to a room with three of them. Taking the rightmost one, then the second in the following room, you will end up in a series of white-walled corridors with diamonds as the teleporters, with the last one being a portal to a rainbow-colored room to the exit. Entering the exit will lead you to the Hydrangea Lake.

Hydrangea Lake

As the name suggests, this is a lake with concrete isles and hydrangea above the waters. If you equip the Glasses or Grave effects on the island where you first appear, the ghost of the woman Urotsuki chainsawed can be seen lying down on the island to the upper left. Interacting with the flower-headed creature leads to another stranded island, this time with three others next to it. By equipping the Glasses or Grave effects here, you can see ghosts of the inhabitants in the stranded islands.
