Neon City was a world accessible from the entrance in Moonlight Lake. This world was removed in v0.08, following 001247's content removal, upon this change the Box effect was moved to the Beige Box Factory.
Features
The Neon City was a small, isometric area with a purple glow. Buildings and streetlights could be seen around the premise, as well as large squares covering the ground. Going right from the entrance would lead you to the Glitch House. At the center of the town were four potted trees. Heading south of this would take you to the Trashy Alleyway.
Glitch House
The Glitch House was a small house with an ominous atmosphere. As you explored the rooms in the house, some tiles would be drawn more realistically, as opposed to the neon vector art style of everything before it. Eventually you would reach a room leading to a hallway, triggering the Haunted Hallway event. You couldn't leave the hallway once you had entered. You had to continue to the right as the screen starts flashing and glitchy tiles appear. Harmless transparent chasers would quickly float towards you. Upon reaching the end of the hallway, Kubotsuki would give a confused expression, whereupon a final chaser would fly towards him, transporting him to a secluded room.
In this room was an open box. It would give you the Box effect upon interaction. You could also go onto the balcony of the house from this room. Upon revisiting the Glitch House after the event has been completed, you could see Kubotsuki as a child sitting on the balcony. If the player visited the balcony from the box room, using the Seer effect would reveal a passive Hoodie Man standing next to him.
