Ittan-momen is an effect NPC that can be found in the Infinite Wilderness, left of the Hot Spring House.

Overview

Ittan-momen resembles a beige towel with two dark red eyes. It flutters as it moves, causing a zigzag shape in their form. When interacted with, the give the Towel effect to Madotsuki. Otherwise, they do not do much else other than wander the Wilderness.

Trivia

They resemble and are named after the ittan-momen, a yōkai resembling a long sheet of cloth. The ittan-momen is reported to attack people by wrapping themselves around the head or neck of the victim, which could describe how the Towel effect wraps around Madotsuki.^[1]
In versions 0.04 through 0.08, Ittan-momen was located just outside of the Barracks Settlement instead of in the Infinite Wilderness.
