Silkworm Forest is an area accessible from Honeycomb World while the bees are gone.

Features

Each time the area is entered, the area will cycle through nine different versions of itself, including:

  • An area completely filled with mulberry leaves.
  • An area completely filled with partially eaten mulberry leaves.
  • An area inhabited by Silkworm-like creatures, the ground is partially covered in what appears to be silkworm thread.
  • A similar area like the one previously mentioned, but there's no silkworm thread in the ground.
  • An area full of what appears to be silkworm cocoons.

In some of the variants, the area will be inhabited by silkworms, interacting with them won't do anything. However, they can react differently to a variety of effects:

  • Chainsaw: The silkworms will attempt to run away from Urotsuki. You can kill them as normal, with a chance of giving you money.
  • Plaster Cast: The silkworms will slowly approach to Urotsuki.
  • Lantern: Urotsuki will burn down the silkworms, killing them. You can also burn them while they are still cocoons.
  • Grave: This has different effects at different stages, mainly making silkworms transparent and revealing others. During the last two stages, a memorial will be present. While this effect is equipped, there will be a transparent silkworm above it that will temporarily disappear upon interaction.

Trivia

  • According to an author's note found in the RPGmaker editor, this map appears to illustrate the life cycle of a silkworm.
  • The fact that the silkworms approach Urotsuki while Plaster Cast is equipped can possibly be a reference to the fact that silkworms have lots of different uses in medicine, such as skin aging prevention, infant convulsions, etc...
  • Before version 0.122i, this area was connected to the Bedroom in the Tricolor Room. If the girl was killed, all the areas would appear in a monochromatic state, which was reversible by getting caught by the fox silhouette in Red Lily Lake.
