Medamaude (目玉腕, "Eyeball Arm") is an effect NPC that resides within Eyeball World.

Overview

Medamaude resembles the other grasping arms found throughout Eyeball World, although it has a single eye embedded in its palm. It can be found slightly northwest of the door connecting Eyeball World to the Nexus.

Interacting with Medamaude for the first time gives Madotsuki the Medamaude effect. It otherwise ignores Madotsuki, with the exception of the standard reactions to the Knife and Stoplight effects.

Trivia

  • The sprite sheet for Medamaude shows that it has a sprite facing to the left. However, this is never seen in-game, as it only faces right no matter what.
  • Its name in the official English translation is "Eye Palm". The effect it gives has the same name too.
  • Medamaude (and, by extension, the eponymous effect) is similar in appearance to a hamsa, a traditional charm used in Middle Eastern and North African cultures to ward off evil. This parallels the effect's purpose of transporting Madotsuki back to the Nexus, making it particularly useful when lost or when trapped by lunatic Toriningen or Uboa.
