Infinite Library is an area accessible by sleeping in the bed with the music box playing in the bedroom of Cotton Candy Haven.

Features

True to its name, this area consists of a dark, unending series of corridors. As you explore the library, a green book sometimes shows up sticking out of the shelves. Reading the book for the first time will trigger a cutscene in the Library showing that the book has been placed in one of the shelves of the lower section. Other elements randomly show up, such as a telephone that you can interact with, a telescope next to a table, and a ladder in one of the shelves to the attic. The attic has a table with an empty book alongside a telescope, where interacting with the former will show its contents, and interacting with the latter shows a view of the starry skies. Taking a glance at the comet will lead you to Erratic Pillar Lands.

Finding the exit can be determined by the volume at which the music box plays. As you navigate through the library, the music starts to weaken, signifying how close Urotsuki is to the exit. Exploring when the music is weak enough will eventually trigger a distorted radio noise, and going forward will lead to a staircase to the inner sanctum, which contains a lone mirror, which has a chance to take you to Static Noise Hell when interacting with it. Going upstairs from the sanctum leads to a small section of the library, containing a ladder to the attic at nighttime, where the telescope will show a white circle in place of a starry sky at this point, and a bed which lets you return to the bedroom.

A Shadow Lady lurks the library, whose presence can be identified by the sounds of her footsteps. If Urotsuki gets caught by her, the area will turn static for a second and the music will stop, making it impossible to locate the staircase, along with the attic being daytime, preventing access to Erratic Pillar Lands as well, which means returning to the bedroom by interacting with the bed, reattaching the key from the music box to play the music again. (Note: It is still possible to find the entrance to the sanctum by wandering around, but it is more difficult to do so without the music for navigation.) Equipping the Fairy effect will not only faintly light the area, but will also placate and repel the Shadow Lady, which makes navigation much easier.

Trivia

The hidden hanged Urotsuki. Brightened for visibility.
  • The Infinite Library's structure and layout may have been based on the hexagonal floor plans for the Library of Babel, a short story penned by Jorge Luis Borges, detailing an endless library containing books upon books of every known combination of the alphabet.
  • Within the daytime variation of the attic, a hanged Urotsuki can be found in the far right boundary of the upper floor, though she is barely visible without brightening the screen.
