Hatred Palace is an area accessible via the floating pink heart in the waste treatment plant of the Scrapyard.
Features
Hatred Palace is a sprawling, indoor area almost exclusively in garish shades of pink, and features a very prominent heart motif, despite its name, that is seen in its decor as well as its furniture and even its strange, dual-colored inhabitants.
Much of the palace halls contain potted sunflowers, large, floating hearts, and glass displays containing assorted sweets.
The northwest of the palace will lead you to a strange room up a few staircases flanked with statues. Here, one can find a portrait, framed in red curtains, depicting the Witch of Hatred, an NPC seen initially in a sub-area of the Love Lodge, on the left. She is seen facing a double of herself in blue, who stands on the right and resembles the Witch of Charity in Snowy Suburbs. Between the girls is a conjoined pink and blue heart with dots beneath it, perhaps in the shape of a DNA strand. The heart vaguely resembles the NPCs seen throughout the Palace. Anything regarding the blue girl, and her relationship with the Witch of Hatred, is speculative. Most likely, they are siblings.
During the winter season, using a combination of the Teru Teru Bōzu effect to make it snow, before equipping the Penguin effect in front of the portrait of the girls, will cause a hole to rip open on the floor, causing the player to fall and later be dropped off at Digital Heart Space.
Directions
- The Nexus → Red Streetlight World → Gray Road → French Street → Blackjack Manor → Scrapyard → Hatred Palace
Trivia
- This area resembles Love Lodge with its heavy use of pink colors and heart motifs. The Witch of Hatred even makes an appearance here on the portrait, suggesting that these areas and the NPC are linked.
- Interestingly, the proceeding area, Digital Heart Space, requires the Penguin effect to be used while it is snowing--the Witch of Hatred in Love Lodge even reacts to the Penguin effect with a saddened expression, further cementing the link.
- More interestingly, a character resembling the Witch of Hatred may be found in Snowy Suburbs, seemingly frozen, and is named the Witch of Charity when viewed in the RPGmaker editor. This is in fact the other witch dressed in blue.
