Tan Desert is a world accessible from an open structure in the Lamp Passage.

Annotated map of the Tan Desert.

Features

The Tan Desert is a large expanse of tan-colored sand and rocks scattered all over the place, over an abstract background spanning the outskirts. Though there are not many points of interests here, there is a portal to the Evergreen Woods, which can only be used upon solving a puzzle.

Solving the puzzle is done by stepping on tiles near rocks in a specific sequence. On the annotated map, this is shown as a spiral path similar to the pattern near the world's entrance, starting from the rock from the south, then cycling over each direction starting from the west afterwards, eventually leading to the portal. If you stray off the path, there will be a sandstorm that thickens over time.

Since only stepping on the correct tiles next to the rocks in the numbered sequence is necessary, one can bypass the spiral pattern by going in the opposite direction of certain arrows in the sequence (for example, heading south at rock "6" on the annotated map and stepping on the tile directly south of rock "7"). Since the sandstorm will thicken while doing this, one can wait on the correct tiles to make the sandstorm dissipate.
