The Vermilion Rooftops, true to its name, is mostly a deep red and consists of two separate navigational areas on the rooftops of buildings. A paper plane can occasionally be seen in the sky flying past.

If the player has arrived here via the Hotel Room door to pick up the Bellhop effect, the passage back through the door will be blocked by three shadowy figures with red eyes. They cannot be killed nor can they be interacted with, so Irving will have to use his newly acquired effect to push them out of the way to return to the Hotel Room.

The entrance from Scarlet World has the player go down a fairly linear pathway to the Hoarder's Room for Bestiary Entry #40. Using different effects can lead to the yellow light on the Hoarder's tail (along with their wings and antennae) to change colors. If the player is wearing the Wendigo or Vampirism effect, they will turn red, pausing their painting to turn around and look at the player. If the player is wearing the Mobile Phone or Gargoyle effect, they will turn green. If the player is wearing the Ice Sculpture, Angler, or Formal effect, they will turn blue. If the player is wearing If the player is wearing the Brimstone effect, similar to when they are red, they will turn white and turn around and still. Lastly, if the player is wearing the Deer effect, they will turn magenta.
