Expeditions are a YNOproject feature where locations in the games hosted on the site (save for those without the feature enabled), are randomly selected and shown to players, incentivizing exploration across the areas that lead to the selected areas and witnessing what they have to offer along the way, be it together or by oneself. By traveling all the way to these selected locations, players gain Expedition Points (ExP), the value of which depends on how far these locations are.

Expedition Points
This is the incentive gained from completing your periodic expeditions, where how much you would earn would be determined by a location's depth. Each week, players can accrue up to 50 ExP, allowing them to skip out on some of them, while still staying on top. Earning enough ExP will advance your Expedition Rank, which starts at Novice and currently ends at Diamond. Each ranking (with the exception of Novice) also grants their corresponding badges when reached.

Periodic Expeditions
These are expeditions for different periods, based on how deep these areas: they are categorized as daily, weekend, and weekly expeditions. The games in which they would be selected depend on how popular they are on the basis of player counts.
These expeditions are described as follows:
- Daily: Selected every day, these are expeditions to two relatively-shallow locations. They yield 1~3 ExP.
- Weekend: Selected every Friday, and available until the end of Saturday, these are expeditions to medium-deep locations. They yield 5 ExP.
- Weekly: Selected every Sunday, and available until the end of Saturday, these are expeditions to deep locations. They yield 10 ExP.
Sometimes, one-time special expeditions based on certain occasions would be added for players to take on. The ExP yielded from these expeditions depend on the location depth.
Upon clearing periodic expeditions in each game, or if there are no periodic expeditions on any game where expeditions are available, Free Expeditions will be available.
Vending Machine Finder
In addition to periodic expeditions, players can take on a challenge called the Vending Machine Finder, which involves searching and using a vending machine given a picture of what vending machine is to be found. Accomplishing this yields 4 ExP, and the vending machines to be found are selected every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday.
Free Expeditions
These expeditions, while they do not yield ExP, are selected infinitely. The sequence in which these expeditions are selected is global across all players, with the initial selection performed every day, allowing them to choose whether to tackle these expeditions at the same time with fellow players, or individually.
Free expedition completions are recorded on the leaderboards, and in the case of Yume 2kki, free expeditions there are also tied to a completion rate, which determined by the unique free expeditions completed in said game. By increasing this completion rate, you can earn Expedition Completionist badges based on how far you have gone.
