Non-Effect NPCs

These are some of the many characters from Itsuki's dream world. Despite not giving effects, they still have some sort of relevance in the game, either by unlocking feats, having special effect reactions, or simply being prevalent across multiple areas of the dream world.

SomedayKondo.pngKondo

A blonde girl who shows up in multiple places of the dream world, most notoriously in the Glitch World sitting behind a desk, as a portrait in the Empty Gallery, being mentioned in the Purple Crystal's cutscene and in two of the game's endings. She acts as the game's main antagonist.

Kondo's portrait in the Empty Gallery

SomedayZapnef.pngZapnef

A red ball with eyes and four smaller balls surrounding it acting as limbs who walks around the Glitch World, using the 8-bit effect near it makes it appear less glitchy and more saturated. Interacting with it in this state triggers the Fake ZApNeF level event.

It is also the main character of the ZApNeF minigame, and is meant to be an atom with one proton and four electrons delivering energy to an unknown machine.

SomedayCitizens.pngThe Citizens

Humanoid NPCs who rapidly change shape as they walk. They are present in multiple places of the dream world, including but not limited to the City, Hospital and Mall, where they look like dark silhouettes instead of their usual appearance.

SomedayNice.pngNice Guys

Bright turquoise creatures with happy expressions who appear in multiple parts of the dream world, often selling drinks in small stands.

There's a singular hurt Nice Guy in a room in the Hospital, and healing it with the Healing Aura effect unlocks Menu Theme 5.

There's also a special, snow white variant of a Nice Guy near a cabin in the Ice World and grey, neutral ones in the Static version of LSD World. The LSD world ones resemble the Hospital one, and can also be healed, but do not give you anything.

A drawing of a Nice Guy can be found in the Shower after the hot water is turned on.

SomedayMonoChild.pngMonochrome Children

Small black-and-white children in school uniforms, most prevalent in school-themed areas. Some (mostly the ones that appear in the High School) of them are about the same size as Itsuki.

There's also special variants that looks like distorted black silhouettes of the Itsuki-sized versions of the children that show up after seeing Kondo's portrait in the Empty Gallery.

SomedayHiSchool.pngHigh Schoolers

A group of five NPCs with more detailed designs than the Monochrome Children who hide in various classrooms through the High School. Finding all of them is key to receive the Lab Coat effect.

Their names are visible in the game's code, from left to right as of the preview picture their names are Fran, Alvaro, Miguel, Pablo and Garcia.

SomedayFamily.pngFamily

A translucent couple holding a baby that shows up in Ice World's Subway station provided the Ice World was accessed from the Sewers, interacting with them triggers the Snowy Day event.

SomedayFlashing.pngFlashing Man

A rapidly flashing humanoid entity who resides in Moon 2. Interacting with it triggers the Spaceship Flight event.

SomedayBubbly.pngBubbly

A cute, round creature who lives in a small room in the Tubes. Hitting it with the Wrench hurts it, but does not kill it, triggering the matching event and changing the appearance and layout of the world. It can be healed with the Healing Aura effect, returning the world to normal.

SomedayClockwork.pngClockworkers

The residents of the Clock Tower, one per floor. Talking to each one of them changes the way in which the time flows in the tower (represented by music speed, background movement and behavior of both the clock and Bun, which are found on the top floor of the tower).

SomedayFuzzy.pngFuzzies

The inhabitants of the Grassland World. They are small and thin creatures with different colors who wander around the area. One of the houses in the village section of the world houses a glitched out variant which appears normal when Itsuki equips the Glitch effect.

SomedayFairies.pngFairies

Small yellow wisps who appear in various areas of the dream world. They act as "checkpoints", letting Itsuki teleport to the last one that was interacted with after getting caught by a chaser (provided the player interacted with one of them during the dream session).

A gray variant of the Fairies shows up outside of the Mall. These don't have the checkpoint functionality of the regular yellow ones, and interacting with them enough times triggers the Silent Laughter event.

SomedayDoodle.pngDoodle People

A collection of doodle-like stick men and faces who inhabit the Doodle World, most of them are static but some run around across the map. The one that looks like a painter changes colors rapidly and acts as a teleporter to the Art Gallery.

SomedayBot.pngRobots

The inhabitants of the Art Gallery. They look like small floating screens, and each one of them makes a unique expression. One turns into a fairy after being spoken to.

SomedayStranger.pngThe Stranger

A shady man who chases Itsuki through the dark alleys of the City during the Alley Chase event.

SomedayTeru.pngTeru Teru Bozu

A big Teru doll who sits in the middle of the Lake. Interacting with it with any effects equipped makes Itsuki drop the corresponding effect.

The Teru Teru Bozu also shows up in the central room of the Meta-Nexus, where it gives Itsuki the Baku effect, required to see the good ending.

SomedayCrickets.pngCrickets

Crickets are small creatures that make a shrill chirp when interacted with. Equipped with a unique movement AI, they cannot be called with the Megaphone effect, and are only found in the Sewers and Dark World. They are often mistaken for cockroaches, with their tendency to reside in dark and damp areas and their brown carapace. However, in HALF-Day, a joke mod for Someday that replaces some sounds with Half-Life sound effects, they are called Roaches.

If the Wrench is equipped, crickets will move faster and try to run away from Itsuki. They make a splat noise when hit, and can drop up to 50 N.

Chasers

These are the hostile characters who try to trap Itsuki in enclosed areas, failing if he had interacted with a Fairy prior to being caught.

SomedayMask.pngMasks

Bright colored, flashing masks with smiling faces. They are active by default and chase Itsuki at the same speed of the Scooter effect, but can be permanently disabled after seeing the Rise Up feat. They are mostly prevalent in the Internet, but they also show up in the School (as part of the Rise Up feat), Corrupted School and Nice Bar.

SomedayHexa.pngHexagons

Pale blue/purple hexagons with two arms. They are (usually) passive by default and move at Itsuki's walking speed, but can phase through walls and objects Itsuki can't walk through. They are provoked either by being hit with the Wrench or by using the Megaphone's action near them. They move in an hexagonal pattern when in their passive form. According to Jojogape, they are the erase function of Itsuki's mind, sending useless thoughts to the Memory Graveyard and cleaning up the place; However, they have been hijacked by Kondo to do her dirty work.
