Neon Centipede Caverns is an area accessible from Mollusk World.

Features

Neon Centipede Caverns is a looping, maze-like area that is bathed in a colorful light that constantly cycles between blue, green, and red. This world is so named for the enormous, wiggling images of centipedes, which sport thick cyan-and-magenta outlines. These centipedes move across the world in a linear, horizontal path, covering everything as they pass. When Minnatsuki approaches them from the south, they will wiggle even more rapidly than usual.

Impassable chasms separate the walkable cavern pathways. While generally dark, these rifts are also home to an abundance of colorful objects and shapes. Among them are heart symbols and the occasional railroad crossing signal, both of which change in hue to match the current color in the lighting cycle. While the crossing signals are somewhat sparse, the hearts are a common sight, and are always arranged into sets of three in the form of an arch. These arches are then sometimes further grouped with other arches to form larger patterns. Additionally, a number of simple emoticon faces are scattered about the abyss, including a cheerful blue face, a pensive green face, and a surprised red face. These faces will appear brighter when their respective color matches the current one in the lighting cycle, and dimmer when it does not.

From Mollusk World, taking the first branch and walking all the way to the east leads to a gate that seems to ressemble pointy teeth. It takes the player to Mural Passage in its neon state.

Instead, taking the second branch and then travelling all the way to the west brings the player to a set of pillars. Going between them takes the player to Coral Ring Park.
