The Submarine Fish is a character that can be found in the Sewers.
Overview
The Submarine Fish is a creature named after its slight resemblance to the periscope of a submarine. It has a long body with green skin and one large eye with a black sclera and light-green iris.
This creature can be found swimming in a large pool of sewer water found in one of the Sewers processing plant rooms. It has a 1/8 (12.5%) chance of appearing in the pool. When it does not appear in the pool, it is replaced by a dark shadow under the surface of the water or a Sewer Pirori instead.
Trivia
- The Submarine Fish can be found in the files unused as far back as version 0.04, though it was not implemented into the game until version 0.09. In these previous versions, the Submarine Fish's sprites lacked the water shadow it has in its current sprites. Additionally, in all found versions of the game, the Submarine Fish has unused sprites showing its body cut off at various points, presumably for being partially submerged in the sewer water.
- Alongside the Submarine Fish's sprites in all versions of the game, an additional creature heavily resembling the Submarine Fish with blue skin can be found in the same CharSet. Just like the used Submarine Fish, this version of the creature also has sprites showing its body cut off at different points. All of its sprites are still unused in the current version, even after the Submarine Fish was implemented.
