Ornamental Plains is one of the main areas accessible from The Nexus.
Features
Ornamental Plains is a looping area consisting of pinwheels of various colors and white trees that appear to be decorated with colorful orbs, as well as purple walls that are scattered around the place. What appears to be confetti is sprinkled on the ground, and in some places, the ground gives way to ravines that fade into the dark.
Immediately north of the entrance is a rubber duck that leads to Rubber Duck Islands. Further north is a train track that covers the width of the world; following the train tracks east and slightly north of the tracks is a gate reminiscent of the original Yume Nikki that leads to the Drains Theater.
Heading south-west from The Nexus entrance will lead to a set of purple walls. Going between the lower set of walls reveals two dark statues, which, upon going through, teleport Urotsuki to Birch Forest. Heading down from the Birch Forest connection will lead to a floating green egg that leads to Lonely Mint Cemetery.
Just southwest of the connection to Birch Forest is a cluster of trees near a gap in the ground. There is a 50% chance per dream, if the day counter is an even number (as shown on the PC), that the purple magic door to Wrinkled Fields will appear when in proximity, indicated by a magical noise. If it is not entered quickly, the door will disappear for the remainder of the dream session. Notably, it will only open if the player has the Child effect (equipping it is not necessary).

Trivia
- This is the first world created by an associate developer to be made a connection to The Nexus.
- In version 0.122a patch 1, the connection to Birch Forest disappeared, instead being one-way from the other side. This was fixed in version 0.122a patch 3.
