The ghost can be passed through, but it can only be interacted with the Cat ability. The ghost always faces the direction the real Madotsuki is in.

Go down until you see a [[Toriningen]] and stab her with the [[Effects#Knife|knife]], turning her hostile. Madotsuki's Ghost will be standing in the center of the map. If you have the Stoplight effect, then you can also freeze the Toriningen in place after stabbing her, to give you a bit more time.

Madotsuki's Ghost (透明な窓付き, "Faded Out Madotsuki") is a translucent version of Madotsuki which can be found in the center of Mini Hell.

    Overview

    As seen in-game.

Madotsuki's Ghost is a semi-transparent version of Madotsuki, reusing her standing sprites with an added gray effect. They can be passed through and can only be interacted with by using the Cat effect, which simply drags them towards Madotsuki like most other NPCs. The ghost always faces the direction the real Madotsuki is in.

    Location

In Number World, there is a door at the far left of the entrance from the Nexus. Going through the door will lead to The Bed Room, which has a single Toriningen located south of the room's entrance. Going towards the Toriningen and using the Knife effect on it will make turn it into its lunatic state, making it hostile. After making the Toriningen hostile, quickly go to the left towards the row of closets and go into the third closet from the left. This will transport you to a different, smaller version of Hell which is much less maze-like. Madotsuki's Ghost will be standing in the center of the map.

If the player has the Stoplight effect, they are able to freeze the hostile Toriningen in place after stabbing them, making the dash for the closet less risky. The player can also use the Bicycle effect to easily outrun the lunatic Toriningen.

    The character facing the player.

    Trivia

    • In the game's files, there is a full spritesheet for Madotsuki with a grayscale filter over her. The standing sprites in this spritesheet are used for Madotsuki's Ghost, though there are also walking and pinching sprites (the latter only being present in v0.07 to v0.09). Some suggest that these sprites were originally going to be used when Madotsuki entered the White Desert, as the sprites lack FC World variants, ruling out the possibility of it being an effect.
