They can be found when entering the Sewers from [[Yume Nikki:Mural World|Mural World]] and immediately going east. The Pain Blob will be blocking one of the paths, seemingly out-of-place, and can not be moved or killed with any effects.
He only reacts with the Knife effect that makes him a hollow sad pain face after stabbing him, he can't be kill no matter how many times you had stabbed. He doesn't move by using Cat effect.

The Pain Blob is a decorative NPC that can be found in the Sewers.

Overview

The Pain Blob appears to be a simple object at first, resembling a large purple water droplet or trash bag. However, when stabbed with the Knife effect, it will grow a small face that appears to express anguish.

They can be found when entering the Sewers from Mural World and immediately going east. The Pain Blob will be blocking one of the paths, seemingly out-of-place, and can not be moved or killed with any effects.

Trivia

  • The Pain Blob's inclusion appears to be used to block the way to the Nopperabou Ghost, which gives the Nopperabou effect, by making the Sewers look like a looping area that is blocked on two sides.
  • Its appearance is similar to the Slime monster from the Dragon Quest series. As Yume Nikki appears to be inspired by several NES/Famicom games, with the original Dragon Quest game releasing on said console, it's likely this resemblance is intentional.
    • It shares this distinction with the Dropfish.
