Garden Festival is an area accessible from a stone statue in Rapeseed Fields.

Map of Garden Festival

Features

Garden Festival is composed of two areas (the entrance and the park) separated by a steel gate and a shrub fence.

Entrance

The entrance is a relatively small area composed of a grassy setting with a stone path and benches, as well as a few trees and ponds. There are paintings depicting gardening activities on the fences. A total of 18 NPCs are present around the entrance and appear to be a mix of Arthurs and Shanis. They can be seen doing various activities like running around, sitting on benches, running in circles, and standing idle. They don't seem to react to any effect except for the Chainsaw, which will cause them to run around, fleeing from the player (the ones standing idle will instead start to spin in place). Killing at least 10 NPCs will cause the area to become gray, changing the music as the steel gate becomes locked, making the main area inaccessible. All NPCs will disappear and trying to leave via Rapeseed Fields will wake up the player.

The Park

The park is a circular-shaped area that is much larger than the entrance and is composed of small fields of different flowers and vegetables, grass with stone paths and benches, and larger ponds with lilypads. Birdhouses can be found throughout the area, which have no special interactions. The same paintings and NPCs as in the entrance can be found here as well.

At the center of the park is a green-haired lady NPC in a flower-themed trailer named Ms. Himawari. This NPC sells random plant-themed consumables for 100 (one of the consumables has a chance of being a picture of said NPC). She cannot be chainsawed.

Killing 10 NPCs in the park will have the same consequences as killing NPCs in the entrance where everything turns gray and the player is sent back to the entrance, generally being locked out of the park.

To the southwest of the park near the rose field, a pink-haired lady NPC named Ms. Tulip and can be found seemingly attending to the flowers. She does not react to any effect and cannot be chainsawed, she does however react to two of the three pseudo-effects found in the park. To the south-east of the park, between the two large ponds of water is a watering can, interacting with it will give the player a watering can and change the border around the player in the menu to a flower-themed one. This pseudo-effect alone does nothing but when interacting with Ms. Tulip with it will trigger a small cutscene where the NPC will leave the flower field and let the player water them. After this cutscene, the watering can that is used to get the pseudo-effect will no longer be available and the pink-haired NPC will have moved to the left of the trailer at the center of the park. The cutscene can be triggered again by leaving and then coming back to the area.

To the north of the area, a tree can be found with two wicker baskets at its base. The basket to the left of the tree has a set of white clothes inside and the one to the right has a set of red/brown and blue clothes in it. Interacting with the basket on the left will give the player a white maid outfit with a yellow bow tied around the waist, and the basket on the right will give the player the appearance of the Ms. Himawari. These two pseudo-effects also give the border around the player in the menu a flower-themed appearance.

If the player interacts with Ms. Tulip after she has moved next to the trailer while having the maid pseudo-effect equipped, it will trigger a short cutscene where the player can be seen dancing at the center of the park surrounded by numerous Shanis and Arthurs. Triggering this scene again requires a separate visit to the world.

It is possible to trigger the various cutscenes while the area is in the grey state.

Finally, near some benches, a doll with a construction sign next to it can be found to the east of the park hinting at a future connection.

Trivia

  • This area's sky background is likely a reference to Omori, which also features a purple parallax sky with various objects drawn on it.
