Map of Glass Shards Path

Glass Shards Path is an area accessible from the red Teleport Rune in Spiral Limb Passage.

Features

Glass Shards Path is a rather small void paved with fragmented glass pieces that make a "clink" sound when stepped on.

At one end of the path is a red Teleport Rune that connects to Spiral Limb Passage, surrounded by blood-stained shards of glass. In addition, severed heads with glass shards driven into them—belonging to the creatures that dwell within the connecting world—are strewn about the area around this warp. Like their counterparts in Spiral Limb Passage, interacting with these severed heads will cause them to let out a pained and distorted wail.

Beyond this point, the path then separates into a northern and eastern branch. While both paths will eventually reconverge, the northern branch will first pass through a rhombus arrangement of yellow and blue shards, with a spire of glass tendrils twisted together in the centre that take Minnatsuki to Spiral Purgatory.

Further along the trail, beyond the point of convergence, the path will become more and more narrow until reaching its end: a heart-shaped arrangement of pink and red glass shards, home to a broken mirror that serves as a connection to Heart World. Surrounding this patterned bed of glass is a loose ring of more fully formed pink and red glass pieces. Each is shaped like a heart, though split jaggedly down the middle.

The only visible inhabitant is Glass Eater, a white, fluffy creature that is seen munching on a small pink shard. It reacts to all eidola accordingly:

  • Soulfire makes it have a worried expression, attacking it will turn its fur black. This is reverted when leaving the world.
  • Lumen lights the whole world up, startling it by flashing its eyes and hurting it.
  • Both Rodentia and Kalimba are of its liking, earning a smile from it.
  • Both Youth+Rodentia and Spectral earn a confused expression.
  • Both Climate and Youth make it frown.

Interacting with Glass Eater while the Youth eidolon is equipped a total of 50 times will cause it to become aggressive, trapping Minnatsuki within its jaws and swallowing them, forcing them to return from the spirit world to their room.

Directions

Nexus → Spiral Limb Passage → Glass Shards Path

Trivia

  • The Climate eidolon can be equipped but not used in this world.
  • A bigger severed head with an unknown origin can be seen in the map but isn't visible in-game.
