Vending Machine

Y2 Journey's Road VM.png Normal

Journey's Road is an area accessible from the road at the northeastern end of Rainy Woods Path.

Features

Urotsuki starts off in a small section of the road, where she can encounter PuraPura. Next to her is a clock, similar to the one in Sunrise Road, indicating the time as twelve o'clock and a vending machine that displays a heart and has colorful sprinkles or confetti below it.

PuraPura can be seen reading a book and will glance at Urotsuki upon interaction. Sometimes, PuraPura will already be looking up. If the Chainsaw, Trombone, or Drum effect is equipped, she will hide her face with the book. If the Stretch or Bunny Ears effect is equipped, she will look up at Urotsuki. She can still be interacted with if the Crossing effect is active.

Continuing east will bring Urotsuki to the Freeway.

Freeway

Urotsuki will merge onto an empty freeway with the Unfamiliar City and distant sea birds in the background. The west path is blocked off. Urotsuki will pass under tunnels and watch as the scenery changes from the city to a natural landscape, where a hot-air balloon and a giant pinwheel are visible. Around this area, you can find a large magenta gate at the top of the freeway which leads to Psychedelic Letter World if text events are enabled. Otherwise, you will be met with a fake blue screen. Despite the nature of this kind of screen, pressing X or Z will return you in front of the tunnel's entrance.

If Urotsuki keeps going, eventually the freeway will lead into a beach, with a boat docked nearby. You can enter the boat and sail off, at which point you'll be in Dream Tropics. There is a lost treasure map on the ground near the boat, and interacting while standing on top of it will show an incomplete map of Dream Tropics. The "X" mark on the bottom left of this map hints at an island where Urotsuki can find a full map of Dream Tropics.

Trivia

  • If you attempt to leave Dream Tropics through the bottom left tile of the Journey's Road entrance, Urotsuki will be stuck here in the boat, essentially forcing the player to reset.
