Legacy Nexus is an area accessible from the Illuminated Building in Checkered Towers and the telephone in Topdown Dungeon.

Features

The Legacy Nexus is an area reminiscent of a traditional Nexus, connected loosely by spotted, teal-ish carpeting with various objects intended to be connections, though quite a few of them do not have any purpose, including a sushi roll that plays trumpet sounds, a double-hearted door that can't be opened, two locked doors, and two cardboard cutouts with peepholes. An unreachable section can be seen here with a white hand and a door resembling the one leading to Urotsuki's room.

Connections

  • Purple Rotary Phone: Leads to Topdown Dungeon and unlocks the connection between these areas.
  • Purple door with eye: Leads to a girl's bedroom, which in turn connects to Blue Apartments. It will only unlock if you've already been there once and entered Legacy Nexus by using its bed.
  • Pink door with hearts: Similar to the above one, but for the bedroom in the space-themed corridor area of Checkered Towers.
  • Dark door: Leads to a room accessible from the night version of Balloon Park if you've entered the Legacy Nexus by sleeping in its bed at least once.
  • Spinning yellow diamond: Leads to a section of Concrete World and unlocks the connection between these areas.
  • Censored bloody object: Leads to Underground Subway.
  • Blue streetlamp: Leads to an isolated section of Blue Streetlight World, where a small streetlight is seen sitting on a larger, curved streetlight.
  • UK-style red telephone box: Leads to the same area as the one in Balloon Park, but this section ends at a massive tunnel that connects to Motel Breeze with no way to return.

You can also find a phone box overgrown with orange sunflowers on a yellow carpet, which unlocks a phone connection to Urotsuki's Dream Apartments.

If you have the purple hat from the girl's bedroom mentioned above, the red door with a giant lock will be unlocked. It will lead to an alternate version of Blood Red Beach's subarea, where the girl on the towel is joined by the bedroom girl and there is a door back to the Legacy Nexus. After visiting the beach in this state, it will always be like this regardless of whether you have the hat, making the phone connection somewhat redundant.

Realistic Flat

Interacting with the red alarm clock will play a beeping sound before the player is brought to what appears to be a bedroom and kitchen saturated in a pink and blue filter. By going south, you're led to a hallway with three giant doors. They can't be opened, but they can be exited from each room on the other side. Continuing down the hall leads to a bus stop where the player can sit. Taking the left exit will bring you back to the red alarm clock in the Legacy Nexus. Throughout this entire sequence, you cannot use any effects.

After exiting a room in the aforementioned hallway of large doors, a star will be added to the sky above the bus stop. When all of the large doors have been exited, a full starry sky can be seen above the station. Sitting at this point takes her to a vibrant view with the characters from the bedrooms and a one-way door to The Nexus to the south. This change persists between dreams.

Trivia

  • This world resembles one of the earliest versions of the game's Nexus. Some of its connections even reference old Nexus connections that have long since been removed, such as Concrete World.
