Legacy Nexus is an area accessible by sleeping in the bedroom in Illuminated Building.

Annotated map of Legacy Nexus.

Features

The Legacy Nexus is an area reminiscent of a traditional Nexus loosely connected by teal-ish, spotted carpeting. Found throughout are various objects, some of which are connections to other worlds. Some of the objects, however, do not seem to not do much, such as a sushi roll that plays trombone sounds and three cardboard cutouts with peepholes. There is also a lemon pig that turns pink-ish if the Glasses effect is equipped, and flashes the screen yellow when chainsawed.

If you walk around and loop the main area around 5 times, the trombone-playing sushi roll will turn into a gold bar. Interacting with it turns Urotsuki into a golden version of herself.

Connections

  • Pink door with hearts: Leads to Clementine's bedroom in the Illuminated Building if you have entered the Legacy Nexus by sleeping in the bed at least once.
  • Purple door with eye: Leads to Sarah's bedroom in Blue Apartments if you have entered the Legacy Nexus by sleeping in the bed at least once.
  • Dark door: Leads to Vivian's bedroom in the night version of Balloon Park if you have entered the Legacy Nexus by sleeping in the bed at least once.
  • Purple rotary phone: Leads to Topdown Dungeon and unlocks the connection between these areas.
  • Spinning yellow diamond: Leads to a section of Concrete World and unlocks the connection between these areas.
  • Locked Red Door: If you have the Purple Hat from Sarah's Blue Apartments bedroom, the red door with a giant lock will be unlocked. It will lead to an alternate version of Blood Red Beach's subarea, where The Red Lady will be joined by Sarah and there will be a door leading back to the Legacy Nexus. Doing this permanently unlocks the connection from the isolated section of Blood Red Beach.
  • Censored bloody object: Leads to Underground Subway. If the Horse mask is equipped, the censor box disappears, and the blooded object appears to have red hair, matching the hair of the girl in Balloon Park's bedroom. If the Clown mask is equipped, the warp will be a puddle of blood that can still be used.
  • Blue streetlamp: Leads to an isolated section of Blue Streetlight World, where a small streetlight is seen sitting on a larger, curved streetlight.
  • UK-style red telephone box: Leads to one of three sections of Dice Swamp. This is almost identical in function to the telephone box in daytime Balloon Park.
  • Red alarm clock: Leads to the Realistic Flat.
  • Pack of cyan mushrooms: Leads to Sunken Spore Sea.
  • Blood-red eyeball: Leads to Flesh World.

Phone Connection

You can find a phone box overgrown with orange sunflowers on a yellow carpet, which activates a phone connection to Urotsuki's Dream Apartments and overrides any current phone connection.

Mask Storage Cabinet

The cabinet can store up to four masks at a time. You will always retrieve the most recent one you put in, unless you roll the Dice effect, which advances the order of masks by one each roll. This storage is shared across all other cabinets in Bean's worlds. Once the cabinet is full, it cannot be interacted with if a mask is currently equipped.

Isolated Area

A small isolated area featuring a flickering computer and a white hand can be seen in this area, in order to access it you must enter this area from ASCII Prairie, which will send Urotsuki in front of the computer. Interacting with the hand will send you to a small room with blue walls and large red windows. In here is a red creature that grants you with System Sounds #9 upon interaction, and will disappear afterwards. There is also a telescope which shows the view of a distant monochrome cathedral with a large creature, barely visible above it.

Secret Pink Room

The secret pink room accessible from behind the Blood Red Beach door.

Interacting with the Blood Red Beach door from behind, regardless of whether it is locked, leads to a 3D - looking pink and blue room, with roses in the background, a rug, a clock, a window, and something resembling a toy carousel. If the Purple Hat is equipped, this room cannot be entered.

The door to the south leads to a second room, with a static overlay and The Red Lady NPC from Blood Red Beach, who is staring at an armless clock. If you have any masks equipped when entering this area, a faceless & semitransparent Urotsuki will be looking around frantically and jumping in the top left corner of the screen. The door is locked behind you, but interacting with The Red Lady will make the screen flash with static and lead you back to the main part of Legacy Nexus.

In the room with The Red Lady, following the faceless Urotsuki movements (move down, left, right, up, up, left, interact) will cause the screen to flash white and disable all collision. Interacting with the NPC does nothing now. Moving to the clock in the room will warp you to an isolated section of Blue Apartments, where you can get the masks for The Red Lady, Sarah, Clementine, and Vivian by interacting with various doors. Interacting with the middle door on the right will take you back to Legacy Nexus.

Realistic Flat

The Realistic Flat.

Interacting with the red alarm clock will play a beeping sound, and the player will be brought to what appears to be a bedroom and kitchen saturated in a pink and blue filter. Throughout this entire sequence, you cannot use any effects.

By going south, the player is led to a hallway with three giant doors. They can't be opened, but the bedrooms in the Illuminated Building, Blue Apartments, and Balloon Park will lead here on the first visit.

Bus Stop

Continuing down the hall leads to a bus stop. After exiting a room in the aforementioned hallway of large doors, a star will be added to the sky above the bus stop. Going to the left will bring you back to the red alarm clock in the Legacy Nexus.

After entering the Realistic Flat from all three bedrooms, a full starry sky can be seen above the station. The player may exit to the left or sit at the starlit station to encounter a stunning view with the squeaking characters from the bedrooms and a one-way door to The Nexus to the south. The door to The Nexus will also remove masks. This change persists between dreams. After using this door to go to The Nexus, you can immediately use the door behind Urotsuki to enter the Fake Apartments.
