The Tomb of Velleities is an area accessible from the Wintry Cliffs, after climbing down the ladder and entering the cave.

Map of the Tomb of Velleities

Features

This area is a horizonally-looping labyrinthine environment taking place underwater, where aquatic life swim around. A purple frame surrounds your vision as you explore the area. Its appearance resembles a temple within the sea's depths.

As you make your way through the maze, you can find a pathway to a hole with a ladder to the seabed.

Seabed

The seabed is a branching set of paths, with a couple of interesting elements along the way, such as a heart on the northern branch above the hub, as well as a crying statue in the southwestern portion. Taking the northeastern path will lead to a glowing plant, which leads to the Lunar Sanctuary upon interaction.

Lunar Sanctuary

The area starts in a dark area with white flowers surrounding the glowing plant. As you enter this straightforward path, static flashes fill the screen periodically. Advancing forward, you will encounter a forest-like area in the background, surrounding the night's sky. At the end of the path is a Black Hole Girl who gives you Menu Theme #32 upon interaction, and facing the fence will show you the skies above, where you can see a comet flying through the sky, right near the light beaming through the water's surface.

Trivia

  • This area was one of the two deepest areas in the game as of 0.113b. It, along with the Lavender Waters was surpassed by the addition of Moonview Lane in v0.115, until the addition of shortcuts to Totem Hotel in 0.117g patch 5. It was surpassed again when Wataru's worlds were readded to the game in v0.119d Patch 1, making the Depths the deepest location once again.
