Coral Shoal is an area accessible from Spacey Retreat.

Annotated map of Coral Shoal

Features

The Coral Shoal is a large beach area with various sandy islands separated by a shallow sea. When seen from above, several of these islands resemble aquatic animals, including a lobster, a fish, and a sea cucumber. Though the sand and water here are usually cyan, if variable #44 is 200 or higher, the world will instead have a golden hue and various fish flying in the foreground.

Coming from the Spacey Retreat, Urotsuki will be lying unconscious in the water and must be awoken by pressing any key. From here, the seemingly disconnected sections of this world can be progressed by interacting with a series of colored flags that will teleport Urotsuki to different areas of the map, starting with the cyan flag to the south of the initial section.

Various ocean fauna can be seen while traversing the islands, including coral, crabs, sea lilies, and starfish. Occasionally, you may find horizontal pieces of coral that can be sat on like benches. One of the islands is home to a sea slug named Morita who doesn't react to any effects and makes slug-ish noises when interacted with.

Interacting with a purple flag leads to a section in the waters of the shoal. This area is vastly populated by Seahorses, either bobbing in the water or hanging onto coral with their tails. Interacting with them will make the screen flash brighter for a moment and play one of several chime sounds. If the world is in its Golden Sunset state (variable #44 is 200 or higher), a purple manta ray will be in northeast of this area that serves as a connection to Stingray Skies. To the southwest is a pink flag leading to the next section.

After a few more flags, Urotsuki will reach an island where a large yellow sea snail with a blue shell can be seen in the water. This island has two branching paths, each with its own flag. If you choose the flag on the path to the right (orange), you will continue on to the next island. If you instead choose the flag on the left path (blue), Urotsuki will be teleported back to the island with Morita. Interacting with her at this point will cause her to laugh at Urotsuki, possibly implying she was the one who set up this trap.

On the very last island is a ladder descending into a hole in the ground. Going down this ladder leads to Gemstone Cave.
