Cog Maze: Difference between revisions

The Style Guide has recently been rewritten. Please take a moment to review the new guidelines.

(No. You shouldn't use the Bat effect to fly over the traffic cone. There's a reason for it to be there, since this area is unfinished. Don't suggest readers to do things that are not supposed to be done and could lead to unintended game behavior!)

This area is a teleport maze. It consist of gear-shaped platforms with rotating Phillips-head screws on them, which act as portals, and a scrolling background with a picture of gears. As of version 0.097c, this area is unfinished (although the teleporter logic is completely functional, there are no exits apart from the one to the [[Construction Frame Building]]), and the path between the first and the second platform is blocked by a traffic cone.

The Cog Maze is an area accessible from the rotating screw at the top floor of the Construction Frame Building.

Map of the Cog Maze.

Features

The Cog Maze is a teleport maze consisting of floating gears of various sizes, serving as platforms. Rotating Phillips-head screws on each platform act as portals between other gears.

A slightly shorter screw on a platform to the northwest leads to the Construction Frame Building.

Another screw leads to a slightly darker area, with a bent screw, which upon interaction leads to the Forest Pier. If it is the first time interacting with it, a small cutscene will show that the shortcut from Urotsuki's Dream Apartments to the Forest Pier is now open. A platform in the west constructed of three cogs with one screw in the middle contains a walking mannequin, which serves as a one-way teleporter to Nail World.

If the player has specifically arrived here from Sprout WorldGreen Neon WorldConstruction Frame Building and has not left this route by entering any other worlds on the way, a specific screw will now lead to Acoustic Lounge. Exiting this world through any means before interacting with said screw will make the path inaccessible.

Trivia

  • The "Daydream" image found in Cosmic World was once located here in the dark area. It replaced the original one while the building area wasn't present.
  • Menu Theme #9 was previously found in this area by interacting with the bent screw used to replace the one in the Forest Pier, as an egg, when the area was not available.
