Spacey Retreat is an area accessible from the Astronomical Gallery.

Annotated map of Spacey Retreat.

Features

The Spacey Retreat is a vast-looping area located high up in space.

This area is filled with glowing yellow flowers, the floor has various patterns, craters and there are even some giant stars and meteorites partially buried on the ground.

Upon leaving the initial "island", you'll end up in the main island, where the yellow Starbits are wandering peacefully around the area. Just a little to the right, there is a little river you can get across by a small path in the middle, after crossing it, you'll encounter a giant crescent moon that you can climb with the Spring effect.

From here you can take two different paths to keep exploring the map. Right next to the giant moon, you will see a group of star-shaped plattforms that you can get across jumping with either the Spring or Bunny Ears effect.

Upon arriving in the next island, you'll encounter a meteorite that you can also climb with the Spring effect, and just above it there's a small bench with a cat named Lila sitting on it, interacting with her will make her meow at the player, while sitting on the bench will make her purr in comfort.

Exploring further into the map will lead you to some more smaller islands, one of them containing a Vending Machine with a starry motif, and another island with a blue Starbit spinning around, interacting with it will take you to Constellation World, only if you have acquired either the Spring or Bunny Ears effect (necessary to reach these islands in the first place).

Taking the other path to the right on the lower-right island will take you to a tiny lagoon and from there you can get back into the main island.

Back to the giant moon, taking the path right above it will lead you to the uppermost section. Going left from the intersection will take you to another lagoon, a blue Starbit with a fishing rod will be here, interacting with the fishing rod will make Urotsuki take it and sit in the pier to fish, though this is purely aesthetic.

Taking the right path will lead to what appears to be a dead end. However, if you interact with the border of the road, Urotsuki will attempt to make the jump to the other side of the gap, failing miserably in the process and falling straight down for a couple of seconds. The screen will then fade to black and a splash sound will be heard, indicating Urotsuki fell into the waters of Coral Shoal.

Directions

With the Spring or Bunny Ears effect, after unlocking the connection from Red Lily Lake to Constellation World:

Trivia

  • The weird pattern right below the entrance to Coral Shoal is actually morse code for "JIVV".
  • Lila is actually a real cat very dear to JIVV and her friend that sadly passed away during this map's development.
