Candle World is one of the 12 original locations accessible directly from the Nexus, through the patterned gray door.
Features
Candle World is a large, openly-looping world with candles spread across the floor. The music has an unsettling, uneasy feel to accompany the equally strange atmosphere. The music is accompanied by the constant hopping noise of the Dwarf. The candles scattered around the world can be extinguished by stabbing them with the Knife effect, and they relight when the Knife effect is put away. This can be used to avoid getting lost, but otherwise serves no purpose.
The Midget effect can found be here if you manage to catch the Dwarf that runs across the center of the map. The Dwarf's path is near a purple pyramid that takes the player to the Checkered Tile Path. It is easiest to catch simply by blocking its path physically. The Cat or Stoplight effects can be used to attract it or freeze it respectively. A group of seven Walking Candles can be found walking around below the Dwarf's path.
The Toriningen near the world's bed is notable for her unbelievable speed. If she is lunatic, she blazes across the map eight times faster than Madotsuki's normal walking speed. She cannot be outrun by any means and is able to keep pace with Madotsuki even when using the hyperspeed glitch. It is therefore advisable to bring either the Triangle Kerchief or Stoplight effects before entering or not to enter Candle World at all if any Toriningen have been angered.
The bed here is the only one of the five dream world beds that is guarenteed to teleport the player to the Staircase of Hands, provided that the Poop Hair effect has not yet been obtained. Another bed may still be randomly selected, making there be two beds that can teleport you to the Staircase of Hands. If the aforementioned effect has already been obtained (even if it has been discarded as an effect egg in the Nexus), the Candle World bed will be selected by random chance like any other of the five total dream world beds.

- Nexus → Candle World
Trivia
- Due to an issue with move routes in the English Steam release, there are two different double-candles found around the world that will instead transform into a yellow, pulsing light when stabbed, which are located near the Nexus door and near the world's bed.
