The Prison is an area accessible from a doorway in the Submarine Corridors.

Features

Annotated map of the Prison

The Prison is a gloomy, labyrinthine area dotted with prison cells. Most of the prisoners take the form of vague shadows, but one prisoner resembling Sabitsuki can be seen in an isolated cell directly north of the entrance from Submarine Corridors. Traveling east or west from this area leads to a courtyard with four cell blocks, and directly north or south from this courtyard is another courtyard, containing a guillotine on a raised platform. This guillotine serves as a one-way entrance to Hell, and is flanked by cloaked figures wielding scythes. On the sides of the guillotine room are the entrances to a hallway full of pillars, where a shadowy figure will quickly hide as the player approaches. Connected to this hallway is another room, containing a few more cells and a door leading to a subarea containing the Corpse effect.

In the subarea, referred to internally as 末路 (End of the road), a large door leads into a seemingly-featureless void. After traveling through the void for a few seconds, however, a rotting and bloodied corpse will come into view. Interacting with it will grant the Corpse effect.

When visiting the Prison as Rust, four Fetuses will be present.
