The Neon Creatures are a group of NPCs that inhabit Neon World.

Overview

The Neon Creatures are animate characters that vary in appearance, usually flashing different colors as they roam Neon World. Each make a different noise upon interaction:

  • The backwards C-shaped creatures with one eye make the same noise as the unhappy Zippertile.
  • The round creatures with legs and arms emit a slowed version of the Fat effect sound.
  • The creatures with long tongues make a small grunt noise.
  • The cycloptic creatures with beak-like mouths emit a lower-pitched version of the noise heard when stepping on the face tiles in Neon World.
  • The stair-shaped creatures emit a slowed version of the sound Seccom Masada-sensei makes.
  • The thin arrow creatures are silent.
  • The short blob creatures make the same laugh noise heard from the Toriningen and Closet Creatures.
  • The wiggling creatures make the same noise as Big Red eating Madotsuki, albeit sped up.

While all of the creatures share the same reaction to the Cat effect by being drawn towards Madotsuki, two of the Neon Creatures have unique reactions to two other effects. When the Knife effect is equipped, all of the creatures except the thin arrow ones will run away. When the Stoplight effect is used, all of the creatures will freeze, although the wiggling creatures will still move their bodies while stuck in place.

Trivia

  • There are 136 total Neon Creatures in Neon World. This excludes the Neon Parrot.
  • They all have the same event name of キャラ (for example, キャラA, キャラB, キャラC, etc.), with the exception of the arrow-shaped one, which is called either ←, ↑, →, or ↓ respectively. They are named after what direction they face when they start their walking cycle.
