The Glitched Purgatory is an area accessible from interacting with a glitched NPC in Parking Zone.

Features

The area is distinct in its completely random, constantly changing appearance, with tiles of different designs clashing together. Every so often, the map's appearance will switch back to the Parking Zone briefly. Several patterns can be made out on the floor, such as a shining sun, a double helix, and a branching tree. Scattered around the area are glitched textures, and equipping the Glasses effect will reveal the glitched textures as their true form, sometimes a blinking eye, food, a large weapon, or a group of silhouettes. They can be interacted with and make different sounds. At times, it's possible for Urotsuki to randomly transform into a glitched texture while exploring.

There are a few random points on the map that will teleport the player to white rooms filled with speedy Chasers that will not do anything to the player, save for a lone Shadow Lady that will bring you to an isolated part of the Alazan Domain if caught. Some of the rooms are filled with Shadow Ladies, Shadow Gloops, Robots Guards, Shadow ???s, and Shadow Birds. Some of them can be seen outside the bounds. Equipping the Glasses effect will make the chaser apparitions disappear. There are a few invisible points that will bring you back to the main map.

Directions

If the connection from Urotsuki's Dream Apartments to Parking Zone is active:

Trivia

  • This area is possibly inspired by LSD: Dream Emulator, due to its trippy and nonsensical visuals. Several devs have stated that they are fans of this game.
  • Sometimes the player can get trapped on a tile while the area momentarily changes back to the Parking Zone, though eventually they may be freed. This can be avoided by staying away from solid tiles.
  • Obtaining Menu Theme 52 makes this area accessible from a set of tiles in Glitch Hell that form a "(^□^)". Fittingly, this emoticon is also this area's original name.
  • The set of tiles that form the aforementioned emoticon in Himalayan Salt Shoal will sometimes have a glitched tile near it that will send you here.
