The Forgotten Megalopolis is a large area accessible from the Monochrome Bismuth Path in Bismuth World.
Features
The area starts off in a series of pathways connected by steel and wooden bridges, where the surroundings seem to be floating above a dark void. Working your way to the northern section, you can find a vending machine inside a fenced area. North of it is a wooden bridge leading to a large wooden doorway to the megalopolis proper.
The megalopolis itself is a large complex consisting of concrete buildings, where waterways surround part of the lower section, with the upper section filled with winding paths. After entering the doorway, there is a straightforward path heading east, ending with a vending machine and a passage to one of the buildings. Inside the passage is another straightforward path, where you can find a ladder to a dock, with the boat leading to the exit.
Outside of the building is a waterway, where you can find two docks from the splitting path. The western dock leads to a vending machine, while the east leads to the upper section of the area, which ends in a door to the next section. From here, there is a bridge and a statue with six holes, right near a bench and a door. Heading east from the statue, then taking the lower ladder, you can find a bench and a deceitfully-placed arrow sign. Going east from here is a door next to another sign pointing left, where the door leads to a small room known as the Forgotten Garden, with a Black Hole Girl who gives you Menu Theme #31 on interaction. Entering the door next to the aforementioned statue will take you to another straightforward room, this time with an elevator at the end. Hitting the switch will open the door, taking you to a small path to a higher section of the exterior.
In this part of the megalopolis' exterior, the foreground is slightly covered in mist, and you can also find clock towers in the surroundings. The first downward ladder right next to a bridge to the building next to it leads to a door that will take you to a small section with a floating statue. Going south from here you will find a long ladder finishing in a boat to a floating water island in the void, there is a small building that leads to Sketch Plains, taking the second following the staircase instead takes you to a dead end. Taking the ladder going upwards, and following the path after, there is a door to a small room with a long ladder and some boxes. Going up the ladder is an exit to another section of the exterior, where heading east from here leads to a locked door next to a ladder to the topmost section. From that ladder, there are some points of interest, namely a statue next to a ghostly creature wandering its surroundings, and the bell tower which overlooks a gothic city in the background.
Entering the passage from the west of the bell tower takes you to the interior section. Taking the elevators here, you will eventually enter a room with a box that moves by itself inside an inaccessible section. East of it is a large room with streetlights and pillars, alongside diagonal corridors, with the southwestern area housing the exit, leading back outside. Climbing the ladders from here ends in a door to a room with a large ladder with four windows right near it, where the exit leads to a section with a small clock tower with a vending machine. North of the clock tower is a cave, where its interior is a straight path to the cottage within Wintry Cliffs.
