The Overgrown City is a deeply nested world accessible from the Industrial Maze.

The Overgrown City is an obscure, deep-in area reachable from the Industrial Maze, and thus, indirectly, from the Forest Pier.
==Features==
The Overgrown City resembles a town that has been abandoned and partially reclaimed by nature. It's devoid of life but for a few odd entities. For whatever reason, the Bat effect cannot be used in this area.

The Overgrown City resembles just that, a city in which some disaster occurred, that has long since been abandoned and mostly reclaimed by nature. The city is devoid of life, except for a few non-NPC creatures that are only debatably alive at all. The City can be divided into three rough sections. For unknown reasons, you are incapable of using the Bat Effect while in this area.
The entrance from the Industrial Maze is a manhole in what appears to have once been someone's back yard. A short path here leads to the Main Area.

=== Entrance ===
===Main Area===
The City can be reached from the Industrial Maze's Garden area, via a door just above the garden itself. After traversing a short passage fraught with amber light, enormous plants, and a strange, mechanical being, you will exit into what appears to have once been someone's back yard, via a manhole. Following the linear path from here will take you into the main part of the Overgrown City itself.
The main thrust of the map is extremely large, though it doesn't loop, and you'll run into traffic cones if you head too far east or west. Throughout the area are figures that vaguely resemble Steve "Leif" Kareha from Yume Nikki.

=== Main Area ===
You'll encounter various rows of houses if you continue downwards:
This area is extremely tall, and quite wide as well (though going too far in either direction will smack you with a dead end in the form of traffic cones). Throughout the area you will occasionally find what look to be enormous lotus petals, these vaguely resemble Steve "Leif" Kareha, one of the most obscure NPCs from the original Yume Nikki.

You begin at the top of the area, and travel down relatively linearly, eventually the BGM will change to a loud, melancholy piano riff, and you will be in "the bottom" of the city proper. Going east from here, you will encounter another garden not dissimilar to the one found in the Industrial Maze, here, you will find a strange creature composed of orange rock and traffic cones cowing under a disused overpass bridge, possibly dead. Going further east still, you will run into a massive creature with what appears to be a ball of scrap iron for a head, bound up in what looks like an enormous straightjacket. If we allow ourselves a moment of whimsy, perhaps this is what caused the disaster here in the first place.
The second row from the top has a doorway on the far western side that leads to a small looping white area. Within this area is another door that leads to a path in front of a strange entity. Continuing left will lead you to the Chaotic Buildings.

Going yet further east will cause the BGM to change again, and put you on the path to the Blue Room.
On the fourth row from the top there is a secret room accessible on the eastern side, through the pitch-black alleyway next to one of the lamp posts (marked by a steel-blue circle on the wiki map). This room has different music and contains a strange golden statue.

=== The Aquarium ===
If you continue further south, you'll arrive on a long empty road, and the music will switch to an ominous piano riff. There is a black cat-like creature here that will follow you around if you have the Wolf effect on. Killing it has a 1/6 chance of giving you 500夢.
This building--the only one in the entire city that can be entered--is found on the eastmost edge of the map. Currently, there is very little here but a dark blue glass wall. What purpose this may serve eventually is unknown.

If you instead go over this overpass to the east, the road will diverge going north and south.

Map of the Overgrown City and Victorian Drains. WARNING: Will take longer to load on slow devices.

Features

The Overgrown City resembles a town that has been abandoned and partially reclaimed by nature. It's devoid of life but for a few odd entities. For whatever reason, the Bat effect cannot be used in this area.

The entrance from the Industrial Maze is a manhole in what appears to have once been someone's back yard. A short path here leads to the Main Area.

Main Area

The main thrust of the map is extremely large, though it doesn't loop, and you'll run into traffic cones if you head too far east or west. Throughout the area are figures that vaguely resemble Steve "Leif" Kareha from Yume Nikki.

You'll encounter various rows of houses if you continue downwards:

The second row from the top has a doorway on the far western side that leads to a small looping white area. Within this area is another door that leads to a path in front of a strange entity. Continuing left will lead you to the Chaotic Buildings.

On the fourth row from the top there is a secret room accessible on the eastern side, through the pitch-black alleyway next to one of the lamp posts (marked by a steel-blue circle on the wiki map). This room has different music and contains a strange golden statue.

If you continue further south, you'll arrive on a long empty road, and the music will switch to an ominous piano riff. There is a black cat-like creature here that will follow you around if you have the Wolf effect on. Killing it has a 1/6 chance of giving you 500夢.

The road continues to the east and eventually turns north. There are small steps here you can descend to walk among the flowers growing in front of the overpass. A large orange creature can be found here and killed with the Chainsaw effect.

If you instead go over this overpass to the east, the road will diverge going north and south.

To the north, beyond a winding path through the abandoned buildings, is a massive creature with what appears to be a ball of scrap iron for a head and an enormous straitjacket. If we allow ourselves a moment of whimsy, perhaps this is what caused the disaster here in the first place.</whimsy> Approaching this entity unlocks Wallpaper #193.

The path south eventually goes off to the right. Heading this way will lead you to the Aquarium.

The Aquarium

The foliage-covered road to the aquarium winds towards the northeast, past a strange bird-like statue. The aquarium itself has an unassuming entrance and front room, but the back room holds beautiful, deep-blue tank with silhouettes of jellyfish floating by. The exit of the building is down the hallway in the middle of this room — but beware: once you walk down it, a cone will appear behind you and make it impossible to go back. Continuing down the steps leads to the Victorian Drains.
