Rainy Town, as its name suggests, is a tiny town set against a rainy, starry sky, inhabited by assorted NPCs including various lamp-people. The area is dotted with beige brick buildings, street lamps, reflective puddles, and potted plants, a few of which contain a creature or two living in it. As this area is unfinished, several of these houses or doors are barricaded with construction signs.

By taking the door to the right of the entrance and taking another right door, you will come across a green-skinned, black-clad NPC who is seen lighting one of the lamp people with a pole-like object. If you interact with the lamplighter, they will blink at you and bring you to another section of Rainy Town, where you may visit their house by taking the left door. There, the Lamplighter can be found sitting on their sofa, jamming out to some tunes. They seem to react to equipping the [[Yume 2kki:Effects#Maiko|Maiko]] effect. By chainsawing the Lamplighter, the screen will flash red, showing their gruesome end, and activating the Ghostly Ambush event.

Exiting the room after killing the Lamplighter will reveal that some red and black spider-like creatures are lurking around the town proper, where the [[Yume 2kki:Effects#Lantern.2FTorch|Lantern]] effect can repel them. At this point, the lamp folk are nowhere to be seen. By making your way back to the door to the exit, the door will now be red, and interacting with it will trigger an event showing some sort of cutscene, where the spider-like apparitions are seen tearing apart the last of the lamp folk, who is now extinguished, before the Lamplighter. With the ghosts' attention now on them, the Lamplighter appears to become frightened and back off as static is heard, but quickly become ambushed by the spider-like creatures and are presumably killed. After this point, the screen cuts to black, and the player is briefly shown an image of their face broken apart like glass to show a broken heart inside, prompting Urotsuki to wake up with a start.

Rainy Town is a currently small location accessible through Halloween Zone by interacting with the lamp NPC in the tree house.

    Features

Rainy Town, as its name suggests, is a tiny town set against a rainy, starry sky, inhabited by assorted NPCs including various lamp-people similar to the NPC in the prior world. This area is dotted with beige-bricked facades, street lamps, reflective puddles, and planter boxes, a few of which appear to have a creature or two inhabiting them. As Rainy Town currently sits unfinished, several of these houses or doors are barricaded with construction signs.

By taking the door to the right of the entrance and taking another right door, you will come across a green-skinned, black-clad NPC who is seen lighting one of the lamp people with a pole-like object. If you interact with the Lamplighter, they will blink at you and appear to vanish. At this point, you may visit their house by taking the left door where a blue light is seen inside, where they can be found sitting on their sofa, jamming out to some tunes. They react to the Maiko and Lantern effects by looking at Urotsuki. By chainsawing the Lamplighter, the screen will flash red, showing their gruesome end, and activating the Ghostly Ambush event.

    Ghostly Ambush

The Lamplighter looking on in horror as the last of their charge is dismantled.

Exiting the room after killing the Lamplighter will reveal that some red and black spider-like creatures are lurking around the town proper, where the Lantern effect can repel them. At this point, the denizens are nowhere to be seen, and the remainder of the lamp folk appear to be extinguished.

By making your way back to the door to the exit, the door will now be red, and interacting with it will trigger an event showing some sort of cutscene, where the spider-like apparitions are seen tearing apart the last of the lamp folk, who is now extinguished, before the Lamplighter. With the ghosts' attention now on the Lamplighter, they appear to become frightened and back off as static is heard, but quickly become ambushed by the spider-like creatures and are presumably killed. After this point, the screen cuts to black, and the player is briefly shown an image of their face broken apart like glass to show a broken heart inside, prompting Urotsuki to wake up with a start.

    Still image of the jumpscare.

If the player chooses to search around instead of going through the red door, they will find a newly-opened manhole cover. Interacting it will bring Urotsuki to Frozen Disco.
