Burgundy Flats is an area accessible from a flight of stairs in Pale Brick Basement.

Features

This area is a quiet, dim set of buildings. After arriving from the lit monitor, Urotsuki will be placed in a home with someone kicking their feet as they lay on the rug and play with a game console. A scroll and a poster of another game console can be seen on the wall. Some familiar and unfamiliar plushies sit by the entrance. Soft light leaks through the glass doors, and Urotsuki may exit them to reach the balcony, which has a better view of the clouds reflected on the water's surface and the crooked, bare trees that reside within it.

The next apartment contains a red-haired character occupied with a computer. Their room and others contain what seem to be potted birch trees. Next to their desk is a dropped paper, which can be interacted with to examine it. Within the following apartment is a turquoise-haired detective. They have a red scarf, a dark belt, and a neutral button-up coat. At the back of their room is a door that will take Urotsuki to a set of rooms at ground level. The leftmost room of this building contains a blonde chef wearing a white apron and hat. The chef does not move, nor do they respond to any effects. Snacks can be bought here by interacting with the table in front of them.

Returning to the outside, the middle door leads to a room packed with boxes. The glass doors at the back lead her to the red-haired character taking a break on the breezy balcony. On the other side, a large, white tooth-like creature might be found. Interacting with it will make it hop and teleport Urotsuki into the silent locked room next to it, which can be exited through the glass doors. The doors in the middle leads back to the ground level, and the doors next to the red-haired character may be locked.

At the ground level of the other building, the unmarked middle door leads to a white-haired character working at a desk with a computer. They wear a black hat, with a red stripe just above the rim, along with a black jacket and gray shirt. Another door exists to the left of their desk. Attempting to enter, however, will cause the white-haired character to open their red eyes and glance over at Urotsuki, making her turn around.

The rightmost door of this building can be entered after visiting the white-haired characters room and interacting with the red-haired NPC to the east of the room's exit. They will then turn toward Urotsuki and disappear as the screen darkens and an unlocking sound is heard. Through the rightmost door is the red-haired NPC among bookcases and unreadable papers. The doors behind them lead to the previously locked doors, where they were originally found.

This building's leftmost door at ground level contains a child, a white bed, and toys strewn about near one of the corners. In the child's room, there is a light switch which can be turned on and off, changing the music in the process. Repeatedly doing this will eventually cause the screen to momentarily turn to black (leaving the room is not necesary). Once the player can see again, the room will be stuck with the lights out and the child will be gone. It is silent, and the background outside is completely black, with only a faint glow passing through the glass doors. Leaving the apartment at this point will send Urotsuki to Lonely Home.

Past the doors and onto the lawn, Urotsuki can move beyond the water, a vending machine, a bench, and a path to Dream Precinct. Entering from there will prevent access to room containing the Pale Brick Basement connection.

The lawn also features a tunnel, which will be blocked by a cone until the leader's office in Dream Precinct is visited at least once (you do not need to interact with the leader). The other turquoise-haired NPC will appear in place of the cone, and she will turn to face Urotsuki and then flee upon interaction. Entering the tunnel will transport Urotsuki to the Disfigured Expanse with no direct means of returning.

Isolated Areas from Thumbtack World

Spoilers:

[Show/Hide]

After meeting the necessary conditions and arriving from Thumbtack World, Urotsuki will be placed in an isolated bedroom with the girl from Thumbtack World. Interacting with her will show a close-up of her faint smile. A slice of cake sits on her table, and she has large versions of a green pyramid and blue blob plush by her bed. Switching to an effect will automatically equip the Child effect. Attempting to equip the Cake effect will make the blob have a brief, joyful expression.

After exiting her room through the door at the bottom, Urotsuki will be transported to a nighttime scene, where Haniwa-musume from Lonely Home can be seen by a flower at the northern edge of the starlit lake. The only option from here is waking up.

Menu Theme Area from Shaded Hallways

Spoilers:

[Show/Hide]

A cliffside can be reached from Shaded Hallways. It features two construction cones and a dark magenta crystal. Interacting with the crystal gives Menu Theme #76.
