====Grocery Store====
====Grocery Store====
The '''Grocery Store''' is one of the worlds accessed from the Nexus, entered from the Nexus's first door.
As the name implies, the Grocery Store resembles a small grocery store, made up of multiple aisles in which various shoppers can be found. Near the entrance is the checkout, which has multiple crying cashiers. To the left are two booths, one of which houses the Gray Face, who will growl at the player when interacted with. The other booth will offer the player a balloon, which they can carry around the store.
In the aisles, on the left half of the store, a realistic teddy bear can be found, which will teleport the player to the Gas Station when interacted with. On the right half of the store is an open freezer with a set of stairs leading down to the Snowy Basement. At the back of the store is a booth filled with meat and a set of doors leading to a backroom. Within the backroom is a child crouched in the corner followed by several chunks of meat carved into heart shapes. A blue doorway in the backroom also leads to the Snack Gallery.

====Carnival World====
====Carnival World====
'''Carnival World''' is one of the worlds accessed from the Nexus, entered from the Nexus's second door.
Carnival World is an enclosed world resembling a carnival. A blue eye pattern decorates the ground and large red walls resembling intestines surround the area, some of which have designs resembling eyes or faces. Peaking from behind the walls are various large heads.
In the first part of Carnival World, accessed from the Nexus, multiple oversized picture frames and Polaroid photos are scattered on the ground. When stepped on, the graphics on them may change, mostly showing that the player has crushed whatever is contained in them. On the right side of the area is a moving pile of flesh which, when interacted with, sends the player to the Gas Station. To the left is a glowing doorway atop one of the walls, embedded into a large pillar with multiple face patterns. The doorway can be accessed with the Crow effect, which takes the player to an enclosed part of the world's second portion decorated with flowers and a large spinning pig with butcher marks drawn on it. Inside is a red carpet leading to an open-mouthed head, taking the player to Meat World when entered. Continuing forward instead past the toll booths is a doorway leading to the carnival's second portion. Using the Magnify effect near the Polaroid close to this doorway reveals a picture of a person wearing glasses and a hoodie.
The second part of Carnival World mostly houses attractions. Dancing figures resembling teddy bears and carnival visitors with screen heads depicting eyes populate the area. A stage and zoo exhibit can also be found, with the latter housing a large creature resembling a humanoid with a crying pig head. If the Doll effect is used to kill the stage dancers and then the Magnify effect is used, a design resembling several sad bears will appear on the stage. A view of the aforementioned red carpet area can also be found at the end of the room. Straight from the entrance is a glowing pink puddle, which takes the player to the trench in Underwater World when interacted with.
=====Trivia=====
*Carnival World is inspired by ''Yume 2kki'''s Underwater Amusement Park, also using the same music that plays in the park's main area.
*The large heads found throughout the area resemble the Wheelies from ''Yume Nikki''.
*One of the picture frames in the first portion resembles the Bird's House.
*Carnival World is the only world accessed from the Nexus (other than Developer World) to not house an effect or pseudo-effect.

====Mural World====
====Mural World====
'''Mural World''' is one of the worlds accessed from the Nexus, entered from the Nexus's third door.
Mural World is a small landscape that appears to take place high in the sky. Large murals depicting various pieces of art decorate the world alongside large, curved sprouts and block structures. Heading to the right upon entering the Nexus and then jumping atop the nearby block structures will lead the player to three black sheep, one of which is the Human Sheep who will grant the Painting effect upon being interacted with. Traveling forward beyond the sheep will lead to a large red plant that takes the player to Hell upon interaction.
Traveling to the left of the Hell warp will lead to four large tube structures with a spinning set of shapes nearby. Interacting with the shapes will lead to Carboard World. Traveling north of the Hell warp instead leads to a well near a serpentine mural, which will take the player to Pill World.

====White Desert====
====White Desert====
The '''White Desert''' is one of the worlds accessed from the Nexus, entered from the Nexus's fourth door.
The White Desert is a boxed-in desert landscape that is entirely monochrome. White cacti grow around the sandy landscape, which has a large horned creature staring down upon the land. Several large shapes also make up various structures around the desert.
To the right of the Nexus door is an umbrella and suitcase, lying within the shadow of a large cube structure. Interacting with these items will take the player to the Parking Garage. Also near the Nexus door is a campfire with two horned NPCs wandering around it. Close to the campfire is a set of four houses with varying contents. The first house has an oversized dice inside, which grants the Dice effect. The second house houses a blob NPC and a cowboy painting, which occasionally changes to a scowling expression. While the third house is closed, the fourth house contains a hole that acts as a one-way connection to Stone World.
On the right side of the area, near a cross structure with a demon-like NPC sitting nearby, is a large head with empty eyes. Entering one of its eyes leads the player down to White Desert B.
=====Trivia=====
*The area is heavily inspired by and shares the same name as ''Yume Nikki'''s White Desert.

Welcome to my sandbox. This is where I'll put stuff when I'm experimenting with wiki assets, constructing new pages, or just doing trivial analytical things for fun.

Specific World Exploration

Name Articles

The "Name" articles are a series of articles originally created by Mt.kiki on the old Yume Nikki Wiki. These pages list various theories relating to Yume Nikki and possible design inspirations for various aspects of the game. As the articles (likely) provide a Japanese point-of-view on the game's visuals and themes, they are likely to give better insight into possible design processes while creating Yume Nikki.

As the articles are either largely written in Japanese, have broken Google-Translated English, or are copy-pasted from other websites, I'd like to try and see if I could decode what each of the article's sections intends to communicate. This is also done to squeeze the contents of the articles into a smaller, usually multi-paragraph, state so that it can be read from a single section rather than an entire article.

Not all of the articles have currently been analyzed or translated, so this is still a work-in-progress section. Once one has been completed, an image will accompany the section.
