====City World====
====City World====
'''City World''' is one of the worlds accessed from the Nexus, entered from the Nexus's fifth door.
City World resembles a small city set at nighttime, surrounded by tall brick walls. There are various buildings that can be entered, although the town is largely empty as has very few inhabitants.
Going down the flights of stairs and then going through the double doors on either side of the building behind the Nexus door will lead down to the café, where a blue worm-like creature will serve the player a cup of hot chocolate when interacted with. On the right side of the city is a largely empty building and a small alley with a vending machine and a boarded-up doorway that takes the player to Black Goo World. A two-story motorbike shop is also on the right side of the city, with a small ghost running the reception desk.
On the left side of town are more buildings. An arcade and store can be found, and two buildings with locked doors can also be found. One of them can still be accessed through a set of stairs leading to the top floor, which has a balcony and an odd elevated section with White Desert sand. The building farthest from the Nexus door has multiple stories, with the ground floor having an indoor waterfall and glowing symbols depicting the Buddha meditating. Up one story is a room with a balcony and a figure in a diving suit surrounded by crates, which takes the player to White Desert B. Up one more floor is a meditating Buddha statue which will either take the player to Hell or activate the Resting event.

====Graveyard World====
====Graveyard World====
'''Graveyard World''' is one of the worlds accessed from the Nexus, entered from the Nexus's sixth door.
Graveyard World is a large snowy graveyard filled with tombstones and coffins. The world has a blood-red sky and is surrounded by a deep ravine.
Directly to the right of the Nexus entrance is a fleshy creature with a television head, which gives the TV effect upon interaction. Heading straight from where the creature is facing will lead to a small building emitting a red glow, which takes the player to the Museum. Heading straight forward from the Nexus door instead leads to a dead tree surrounded by gravestones, which will take the player to the outskirts of Russia World when interacted with. An NPC resembling a rabbit conjoined with a second, fleshy rabbit can be found near this warp.

'''Pyramid World''' is one of the worlds accessed from the Nexus, entered from the Nexus's seventh door.

Welcome to my sandbox. This is where I'll put stuff when I'm experimenting with wiki assets, constructing new pages, or just doing trivial analytical things for fun.

Specific World Exploration

Name Articles

The "Name" articles are a series of articles originally created by Mt.kiki on the old Yume Nikki Wiki. These pages list various theories relating to Yume Nikki and possible design inspirations for various aspects of the game. As the articles (likely) provide a Japanese point-of-view on the game's visuals and themes, they are likely to give better insight into possible design processes while creating Yume Nikki.

As the articles are either largely written in Japanese, have broken Google-Translated English, or are copy-pasted from other websites, I'd like to try and see if I could decode what each of the article's sections intends to communicate. This is also done to squeeze the contents of the articles into a smaller, usually multi-paragraph, state so that it can be read from a single section rather than an entire article.

Not all of the articles have currently been analyzed or translated, so this is still a work-in-progress section. Once one has been completed, an image will accompany the section.
