Nightmare Express is an area accessible from the traincar in the Underground Subway, a mini traincar in the Worksite, or a house in the Dreary Harbor.

Features

This area is set in the interiors of a dim train, barely illuminated by the blood-red color from the exterior.

Entering from the Underground Subway, Urotsuki starts in the left-most traincar available, populated with some odd-looking people. You can head east to continue through the area, in which the next traincar contains a fleshy mushroom-shaped creature, Chainsawing it will distort train and make a Shadow X appear. While the chaser is active, trying to enter the right traincar or exit through the doors will be impossible; entering the left takes you back to the previous traincar, and will make the chaser disappear when you come back. Getting caught by this chaser traps Urotsuki in an isolated area of the Underneath with a red hand and a head.

The next traincar contains multiple hands coming from outside the train, using the lower doors takes Urotsuki to the Worksite; continuing right, the next traincar is flooded with blood from the exterior, with a TV with a red screen found on the right side. The following traincar is completely empty, the upper doors take you to the Dreary Harbor.

The next traincar is fairly normal, showing the view of the blue sky; the train lights go off randomly, making the area pitch black and causing a disfigured creature to appear, which will chase Urotsuki; touching it will make it disappear.

The final traincar is dark and populated by shadowy figures. Accompanying this sight are inaudible voices, sirens and unidentifiable noises. In this room, Urotsuki's footsteps are heavily muffled. Continuing to go east will send Urotsuki to the Legacy of Ruin.
