Flamelit Wasteland is an area accessible from the back room of Candlelit Factory after destroying the clover with the Chainsaw or Lantern effect.

Map of Flamelit Wasteland.
Map of the Hell Caverns.

Features

Flamelit Wasteland is a sprawling, red landscape with large lakes of blood, where many of the dark figures from Candlelit Factory can be seen burning alive, swimming in the lakes, or impaled and unmoving.

One particular area of interest is a small island whose entrance is coned-off. A line of burning dark figures can be seen, the end of which contains a pot with another dark figure being boiled alive in red broth. An isolated purple structure can also be found here; using the Glasses effect will reveal the ghost of the snowman NPC from the prior area wandering around.

South from the cone, you can find a large building with a sign near its entrance. Entering the world may result in a chance for the black bear to lay beheaded on its roof. Entering the building will bring you to a room littered with burning figures, where a black bear is seen fishing in a small lake of blood. Next to the back doorway is a blue potted plant. Inside the doorway are two lit torches and a small indigo cone that brings the player to a corresponding room in Fish Person Shoal if you've visited that world once.

Similar to that matching room in Fish Person Shoal, the bear may be asleep, which will allow you to interact with the fishing pole to summon one of the fairy orbs from Blue Sanctuary. It will then float out of the building. Going outside will reveal that the fairy orb has been slain and a walking crown-like NPC is now present. Interacting with it will make a beeping sound. After viewing the event in Candlelit Factory and entering the area with the clover, you can interact with it to equip the Fish Person mask. After obtaining Menu Theme #56 from Fish Person Shoal, it will no longer beep, instead granting you the Fish Person and angry Fish Person masks. These will be unlocked in the Dream Wardrobe section of Urotsuki's Dream Apartments for easy access in the future.

Southeast from the pot, an indigo conical structure can be found. Entering it will bring you to Hell Caverns. North of the conical structure is a small path up to a bloody white object that transports you to Cruel Bloody Hallways.

Hell Caverns

The Hell Caverns are a brief maze area, and are somewhat dark. They can be brightened with the Lantern effect. A ladder can be found here – entering it will lead to Fish Person Shoal's deeper Shoal Caverns.

Directions

With the Chainsaw or Lantern effect:

If the connection from Urotsuki's Dream Apartments to Sugar Road is active and the connection from Expanded Corridors to Chaos Exhibition is unlocked:

Trivia

  • Flamelit Wasteland and Fish Person Shoal mirror each other in many ways; both have a purple platform with the snowman NPC on it, both have a room with a fishing bear in it that are connected to each other, both are accessed from Candlelit Factory and linked by the Shoal Caverns (having their own cavern areas between it), and both have an NPC fished up while the bear is asleep that grants Urotsuki a rare collectible.
    • Said NPCs are Fish Person Shoal's Angry Fish Person and Flamelit Wasteland's NPC that appears after fishing the fairy, which grant Menu Theme #56 and the fish person masks respectively.
