Features

The Opal Ruins A is a labyrinthine area consisting of purple cubes and geometrical structures surrounded by a vast, dark sea with multicolored waves. The vertical paths in this area allow diagonal movement.

A pink and purple smiling creature that looks like a gummy bear can be found at certain point, which serves as a one-way connection to the Opal Sea.

There's also a flashing NPC in one of the paths, swimming in the sea. Equipping the Rainbow effect will make the NPC flash even faster, while the Marginal effect does the opposite. Equipping the Chainsaw effect near him will make its face black and white. Aditionally, one of the portals from Mushroom World can be found in the area, but out of reach.

Opal Sea

The Opal Sea (ミサロジーB, Misarojī B, Mythology B) is an area reminiscent to The Pink Sea, from Yume Nikki. It's inhabited by a variety of flashing NPCs, similar to the ones in Neon City. Many copies of the pink and purple creature that served as an entrance can be found across the area, serving as connections to different islands. In addition to this, using the Bunny Ears, Twintails, or Stretch effects will cause the area's seaweed-like residents to swarm you rapidly.

An island with a construction sign can be found by going north and slightly east from the entrance. At the right of the island, one of the teleporting creatures can be found, which leads to a small, spiral island with a flashing plant in the center. Interacting with this plant makes another teleporting creature appear in the world, at the center of a heart-shaped structure made by small purple cubes, which can be found northeast from the teleporter just used. Interacting with this special creature will lead to an island with a conical house similar to Poniko's home. If you haven't interacted with the switch in the house in Lovesick World, the doorway will trigger a static noise with the screen flashing black. Otherwise, it leads to a vertical pathway with scary-looking figures on the sides, where you take control of ???-tsuki in Urotsuki's place, ending in a black flag. Interacting with this flag takes you to Blue Lavender Shoal.

Directions

After entering the Rainbow Ruins at least once:

If the connection to Fluorescent Halls has been unlocked:

Trivia

  • Before version 0.112f, interacting with the conical house in the Opal Sea while having the Stretch effect equipped would have a 1/80 chance of leading to dark, looping and inescapable passage with black mountains and red creatures in the background. While being here, static sounds and deep, cat meowings would play every 13 seconds.
    • This passage was an homage to the Uboa event.
  • This area is located in the same map as the Opal Ruins B.
  • Prior to version 0.115 Patch 4, this world was accessed from Sugar Road.
  • The very brief passage leading to Blue Lavender Shoal has an inaccessible mazelike area with an land isolated formation in the shape of the number 28, which cannot be accessed without Debug mode. ???-tsuki is seen trapped in this 28 in a single frame of the Liar's Vision event.
  • Though the Construction Sign in the uterus-shaped landform in Opal Sea is inaccessible, the event tile for it is fully coded. The player is therefore able to interact with it through the use of Debug mode. Upon doing so, the player becomes trapped in the 28 as a low-pitched baby coo is heard.
