The Undersea Expanse is an area accessible by plunging into the waters of the White Shores.
Features
This area consists of several underwater islands containing scattered fauna. Each island has a variant of yellow kelp, which can be given to a fish standing nearby who will allow the player to ride on it.
After arriving from White Shores, a ladder can be seen in the southern side of the island. Interacting with these will take you back to White Shores. East from this ladder is a white monolith that will take you to Sands of Time on interaction.
Going further east will take you to a bigger island, which houses the Coral memory. South of these island is a tiny island that has a ladder that goes to Yin Yang Lake.
Directions
Memory Room → First Steps → Retro Dungeon → White Shores → Undersea Expanse
Trivia
- This was the first map contributed by someone other than the founder Romain.
- In this map's introduction in v2.0, there were a plethora of bugs and oversights. If otherwise stated, these bugs and oversights were fixed in v5.0.
- First, the fish would ask you for green colored kelp rather than yellow colored kelp.
- Interacting with the fish with the yellow kelp would duplicate Muma for a few moments as you mounted the fish.
- This somehow became worse in v5.0 as the duplicate Muma instead starting appear after fully mounting the fish and stayed there as long as you were riding the fish. This was finally fixed in v6.0.
- Where the pillar to Sands of Time stands now there was a piece of yellow kelp instead that would bring up a textbox when interacted with. Saying yes would duplicate Muma for a few moments and then take you to a "your turn maker" screen while falling as this was meant to be a connection for other creators to use for their own worlds.
- Where the ladder to Yin Yang Lake is there was a staircase that Muma could interact with, making her walk down it. This would then make Muma completely invisible with until interacting with a kelp or fish again, as this was meant to be another connection for creators to use for their own worlds and thus making Muma reappear was not handled yet.
- Finally, using EasyRPG for an unknown reason causes the light blue overlay to only cover half of the screen, leaving the world in it's original color that is shown on the annotated map. This was not fixed until v21.0.
- The pillar that takes you to Sands of Time was a yellow kelp until v12.0.
- The ladder back up to White Shores used to be where the ladder that goes to Yin Yang Lake is. It was moved to its current location in v31.1, the same version where Yin Yang Lake was added.
- This map used to use a different track until v33.2 where it was replaced due to copyright reasons. It can be listened to here.
