The Sands of Time is an area accessible from the Undersea Expanse through a crack on the ground.
Features
The Sands of Time is a large infinite desert made up of sand that continuously pours down from above. Throughout the area are various white pillars, as well as holes in the ground that warp Muma to other sections of the area. West from the entrance is a large broken hourglass that leads to Orange Mausoleum when entered. Southeast from the entrance is a tall black pillar with the Hourglass memory on top. In the area's initial state, the hourglass will be too high up for Muma to reach.
Spoilers:
Northwest from the entrance is a hole in the ground that leads to the Weird Forest. If the R-Maze connection is active in this area, it will be located north of the entrance from Undersea Expanse.
Directions

Trivia
- This world was originally connected to Owl Swamp with a hole in that world which was added in the same update, dropping you off where you would from Undersea Expanse. This was changed in v12.0 to use the crack in the ground in Undersea Expanse instead.
- Sand did not gradually accumulate when it was originally implemented in v11.0, a tile's worth of sand would accumulate in one moment every 50 seconds.
- In v13.0 the first animation for sand accumulating would be added, which looked like the bottom of the pillar was moving up by one pixel every few seconds until eventually when that tile was "fully covered with sand" the bottom of the pillar would jump up a few pixels up jarringly.
- In v24.0 the map would receive it's final visual changes, with the random sand pillars being retextured, the broken hourglass being added and the final sand animation for the pillar being implemented. The broken hourglass went to Weird Forest, but this was changed in v30.0 with the hourglass being moved from where the hole to Weird Forest now is to its current location with it also now taking you to Orange Mausoleum.
- The author of this map Hellper was not credited on the title screen until v15.0, despite also contributing Weird Forest in v14.0 as well.
