The Second Nexus is a small area accessible from a door in the Rainbow Ruins.

Features

The door from the Rainbow Ruins starts the player to the left of the main room, a small void-like map featuring several doors similar to The Nexus. The room features three more unique doors; a monochrome door featuring a drooling figure to the north, a red and blue door featuring the number 28 to the east, a red door with blue squares to the south and a green door at the center. The number door leads to Corrupted Love World. Entering the southern door leads to the Frozen Woods, while the northern door leads to Smiley Signs World. There are four other doors in the secondary directions, all of which also cause knocking sounds on interaction.

Entering the middle door will lead Urotsuki to ???-tsuki's bedroom. The bedroom is structured similarly to Madotsuki's bedroom in the original Yume Nikki, only with the door and bed being swapped. There is a 25% chance that ???-tsuki will be in the bedroom. This chance is determined each time the player enters from the main Nexus area. She wanders around and does not react to any effect, not even the Chainsaw. Interacting with the trash bin, which contains a love letter, will give you Menu Theme #42, if you haven't obtained it yet.

To the south of the bedroom is a balcony featuring a completely black building a pink sky. What looks like a puddle of pink blood lays near the left edge of the balcony, while a white hand hands on the right side of the balcony. An inaccessible rooftop with a door and a dish antenna can be seen. By heading over to the bloody portion and interacting with it, a short cutscene will play in which ???-tsuki descends into a pit which starts of with red and cyan scribbles, followed by some hand-like elements, ending with a series of floating "280"s that, along with the background, get increasingly distorted towards the end. After this, Urotsuki will end up in the puddle of blood in Originator Garden. This will spawn a creature in said area who will give you Menu Theme #36.

Trivia

  • The blue-haired girl is called "***-tsuki" in the files of the game, which is where her fandom-given name "???-tsuki" originates from. Many alternative sprites of her can also be found.
  • ???-tsuki can also be found together with The Liar from the bedroom in Lovesick World by using Debug Mode in the area accessible from the culvert located in The Gutter, in the Bright Forest.
  • The entire area references the usual set up found in Yume Nikki as well as many fangames; a surreal version of a bedroom connected to a Nexus-like area with several doors leading to many worlds, as well as a Madotsuki-looking character with a name ending in "tsuki".
    • The worlds accessible from this area also represents the worlds typically accessible from the Nexus in Yume Nikki fangames, being relatively simple wide open looping worlds with objects scattered around. More specifically, the Rainbow Ruins resemble Yume Nikki's Neon World and worlds like it, while the Frozen Woods resemble Yume Nikki's Snow World and worlds like it.
  • Prior to version 0.119h Patch 9, There was a door to the Blooming Blue Lagoon.
